被 WEB OF SCIENCE 核心库收录的期刊是SCI期刊被 ENGINEERING INDEX 收录的期刊是EI期刊被 中文核心期刊要目总览 收录的是核心期刊
但是，不同学科之间的SCI期刊很难进行比较和评价为了科学地对学术期刊进行评价，对科研人员的工作业绩进行合理考核，中国科学院文献情报中心将JCR（《期刊引用报告》）公布的期刊分为13大类，在每一类期刊中根据期刊的影响因子及被引频率等指标分成四个区，期刊档次由高到低排列，其中第一区期刊加上第二区少量期刊，被界定为顶级刊物。发表在1区和2区的sci论文，通常被认为是该学科领域的比较重要的成果。有些在1区或者2区的期刊，也有影响因子很低的，比如病毒学最牛的杂志是JournalofVirology（IF=402），但是在它上面发表期刊的难度并不亚于Nature（IF=28）
发稿简单的理解就是发某篇文章在某个地方，在近几年这种事情还是比较多的，就像我们公司以前也没注重这方面，只知道竞价，信息流等，但短时间还好，时间长了有点伤不起啊，所以在去年开始我们也是不定时的发文，但市场上发稿的也比较多，也是做了不少的对比，结合实际情况让锦随推发的，目前首页还有相关信息。
SCI 和 SCIE （ SCI Expanded ）分别是Thomoson ISI公司旗下的科学引文索引sciene citation index(俗称SCI)及科学引文索引扩展版sciene citation index expanded(俗称SCIE，即网络版），主要收录自然科学、工程技术领域最具影响力的重要期刊，学科覆盖 150 多个领域。SCI 和 SCI-E 的区别主要有以下几点：（ 1 ） SCI-E 是 SCI 的扩展版，目前前者收录期刊 3600 多种，后者收录期刊 6000 多种，被 SCI 收录的期刊应该都被 SCI-E 收 , 但反之却不成立。（ 2 ）通常情况下， SCI 收录的期刊档次更高一些。虽然你偶尔发现 SCIE 的影响因子可能比 SCI 还高，但就其影响价值仍不如 SCI 。（ 3 ） SCI 是核心刊，全刊文章都被SCI收录； SCI-E 是扩展版的期刊，并非所有文章被 SCI 收录．办的比较好 SCIE 杂志可能成为 SCI 杂志，而办的较差的 SCI 杂志可能变为 SCIE ，甚至被 SCI 和 SCIE 所放弃。国内所说的SCI收录期刊不包括SCIE。SCI是SCI，SCIE是SCIE。国内的SCI和SCIE被承认。
SCI有3000多种期刊，SCIE有6000多种期刊，SCIE包含SCI。 不过现在SCI与SCIE其实区别不大了，英文简写上，E代表expand，其余都相同。只不过SCI是最初收录了不少期刊，但是后来又扩充补入了很多优秀的能够达到SCI水平的期刊，SCI可以看做是第一批吧，但是现在其实不是很区分这个概念了，谁先谁后无所谓，只要质量过关有了影响因子那都可以视为。
