A Review of Robinson Crusoe--
This is a novel by the English author Daniel Defoe, published in 1719. It is one of the most popular adventure novels in all literature. It is the story of Bobinson Crusoe, an Englishman who is shipwrecked in a lonely tropical island. He builds himself a hut, grows his own food, and becomes self-sufficient. After 23 years he meets with a group of cannibals and rescues one of their prisoners, a young native whome he calls and his“man”Friday become close friends, and when they are finally rescued four years later, both return to England.
Robinson Crusoe was partly based on the actual deeds of Alexander Selkirk, an 18th-century Scottish sailor who spent almost five years alone on a desert island. This novel is famous for its lovely details and its expression of belief in man's ability when left alone in nature.
My one breath reads off the fairy tale which "Sea Daughter" this Anderson writes to give me to be specially deep. "Sea Daughter" this article everybody is certainly very familiar! If she continues to become “the sea daughter”after must assassinate that prince, may return to her in the family member, returns to belongs to her from already world. But she does not have to do this actually from has thrown in entering the sea to change into the froth. I like "Sea Daughter". It caused me to understand the life was valuable. Must have the strong will in anticipation in any surf-ace, goes bravely facing it. In this book, I have not only known some happy stories, but also receives the very big inspiration education.
Last night, I read a moving short story named A Boy Buys God. Bondi’s parents died in his early age and he is raised by his uncle. But one day, his uncle falls down from scaffold and God want to take his life away. Bondi heard that God is an amazing thing that can save the life of his uncle. Therefore, he goes out with one dollar to buy God. But he doesn’t buy one until the 29th shop’s door opened. It’s an elderly man who is willing to help him after Bondi telling his story.
Several days later, Bondi’s uncle gets great treatment by the most outstanding doctors in the world and finally he totally recovery. In the end, he knows what saves his life—love. It’s Bondi’s pure love to him that saves his love. On the other side, it’s his love to Bondi that saves himself. Therefore, we can say that love is mutual and rewarded.
Tonight I watched the movie for the third time. I really enjoy this film so much.
So what's your choice between being a common person or a hero with people's respects? Most people will choose the latter. But what will be your choice if the cost is laying your lover among the risks? What will it be if the cost is you can never tell the girl, who you love so much, that you love her? The spider man had this contradiction. But finally he still chose the latter, not in order to be a hero, but to make this word peaceful.
I was so moved by the words the Aunt Mary said:
You will never guess what he wants to be, the spider man. He knows the hero when he sees one, too a few characters out there, flying all around out there, saving old girls like me. Lord knows kids like Henry need hero courageous, sacrificing for people, setting examples for all of us. Everybody loves a hero. People enthrone them, cheer them, scream their names and years later they will tell how they stood in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse the one who taught them to hold on to stand longer. I believe there is a hero in all of us. They keep us be honest, give us strength, make us noble, and finally allow us to die with proud. Ever though sometimes we have to initiatively give up the thing we want most, even our dreams. Spider man did that for Henry, so he wants to know where he is gone. He needs him.
The spider man got much from these words, so did I. And what about you? what's the hero lying in you?

I read the book of Robinson Crusoe, their captors.
Article describes multiple sailing in the whole island, Crusoe masters of extraordinary survival 28 years experience, strive for survival, show the ingenuity and a man with indomitable perseverance in the face of hardship persistent existence desire, the lonely and eager to rescue the mood. In a lonely island overcome Robinson was done with fear, a savage and said he was "on Friday, they get along with each other, then built on Friday, Crusoe one kind of warm friendship." I also enjoy the disclosure of the business concept: Crusoe each sailing and adventure has clear commercial purpose, with his own property and calculating profit, he will also oneself life the island is his territory, in addition to reveal its economic thought, I admire John Robinson's rich, more learning his strong initiative and spirit of adventure, early efforts, hard work, and perfect kindness thought!
After a weeks persistence, I finally finished reading the foreign famous book "the old man and the sea". The book impressed me so much that I couldnt forget it. This novel mainly describes an old man fishing alone at sea. He caught a big fish and tied its head and upper body to the side of the boat. But when he met a shark, the old man tried his best to fight with the shark. The shark ate all the fish he could eat, but there were still 800 pounds left.
Reading this book, my heart cant be calm for a long time. This ordinary and respectable old man made me deeply understand: "a man should not be overwhelmed by any difficulties, and should do his best to fight with the hardships in life.
I really admire grandpa Santiagos tough spirit. When I read about my grandfathers fierce fight with sharks, I dont know whether I should be nervous or worried about my grandfather. However, my grandfather always sticks to the optimistic spirit to deal with some great difficulties. When I saw it, I couldnt help thinking of myself. Whenever I met some difficulties, I always felt very upset, bored, and wanted to escape from reality. If you look at Grandpa Santiago, no matter what difficulties he encounters, he never flinches, but bravely copes with them!
We should do the same in life. We should not be greedy and afraid of death. We should have confidence in ourselves. Even if we encounter many difficulties, we should never let it down. We should be brave to eliminate it.
I believe that with my efforts, I must become as brave and brave as Grandpa Santiago.
Several years ago, when I was a little girl I have already read the novel Jane Eyre. At that time, I was attracted by the touching story. But today, after watching the movie, I was moved by Jane, the adamant, independent, brave and honest girl. Why did we say Jane was an adamant and independent girl? Let’s look at her childhood. Her parents died when she was a little girl, so she was brought up by her aunt Mrs. Reed, an acute and ruthless woman. Jane led a very bad life in her house. They treated her as badly as a ragtag. But Jane didn’t surrender. Later, she was sent to Lowood school,an orphan school. In there she didn’t get what she had been expecting——simply being regarded as a common person, just the same as any other girl around. Mr. Brocklehurste even asked Jane to stand on the chair and vilipended her in front of all the students. But Jane didn’t yielded. And her only friend Helen died, Jane was very sad, but she was not depressive all the time. Instead, she studied and worked energetically. At last, she became a teacher of logwood, and later became the family teacher of Adele. From her experience, we could found that Jane was independent; she changed her fate by herself. She suffered more than other girls at her age. She was independent both in physically and mentally.
Jane was brave. She dared to say no to Mr. Brocklehurst, cut her beautiful hair with Helen, and pull the horse for Mr. Rochester. What’s more, she dared to accepted Mr. Rochester’s love and pursuit of her own happy life. Though she said:“ Do you think because I am poor, obscure, and little. I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong!—I have as much soul as you—-and full as much heart! And if God had gifted me with some beauty and much wealth, I should have made it was hard for you to leave me, as it is not for me to leave you. I am not talking to you now through the medium of custom, conventionalities, nor even of mortal flesh; it is my spirit that addresses your spirit; just as it both had passed through the grave, and we stood at God’s feet,. In her opinion, everyone is the same at the God’s feet. God hadn’t given her beauty and wealth, but instead, God gave her a kind mind and a thinking brain. These words expressed complete1y Jane ’s rebellious told him her own feeling, and emphasized that they were equal.
As we know, there was strict distinguish in social stratum at that time. Mr. Rochester was in the high society, but Jane was only a family teacher. They were in quite different social stratums. What’s worse, in that society, people’s sense of love was on the basis of the sake of money they could marry anyone even though the husband or the wife was an idiot on their eyes, money was everything, money was marriage. But unfortunately Jane was very poor. That’s to say, Jane should receive much rumor from society. In fact, she didn’t afraid of it. On the contrary, she accepted with no hesitation. When she knew Rochester’s wife was dead and he was blind, she went to look after Rochester determinedly. She didn’t care about anything else. And I still remember at the party, all the people from the high society laughed at Jane, they looked down upon Jane. She kept silent though her heart was very exciting. And to their surprise, Miss Ingrain was proved to be a loser, Jane defeated her though Jane had no property and ’ s plainness, poverty, position and disposition were contrasted to Ingrain drove away those aristocrats from competitive position and great wealth showed by noble class was put got glorious victory.
Jane was self-respected and self-love. When she knew Rochester had a mad wife and she was still alive. Jane left. She couldn’t bare an incomplete love. She left her lover Rochester with contradiction and pain. Though she still loved him very much. She chose another road, which was endless. She was kind and strict to the moral concept. She couldn’t accept herself do something against the morality. She was self-respect.
To sum up, Jane was a charming girl .What she attracted us was not the beautiful face, lovely figure, and sweet voice .But her brave heart, intelligent brain and adamant character. So we didn’t surprise that Mr. Rochester chose Jane as his bride instead of Miss Ingrain. Because Jane was much mature and richer in soul. As a girl, I should learn from Jane. Especially in the materialistic society we should be in charge of our own fate. Don’t depend on others all the time. We should be independent .Don’t lead a luxurious life and in hope of marring a rich man, thinking that your husband would change your fate, your social position. That’s silly. We should realize that only depend on your own struggle then you could really charge your fate. What’s more, we need to be self-respect and self-love. As far as I am concerned, as a girl if you don’t respect and love yourself, so how do you require others to respect you? In short, we need to learn from Jane Eyre.
The old man and the sea is the work of Hemingway. Hemingway is a very unique writer. He has experienced two world wars and created a classic tough man image based on himself.
This book mainly describes an old fisherman named Santiago, who has not caught fish for eighty-four days in a row. On the eighty fifth day, he caught a big fish and dueled with the big fish for two days and two nights. Finally, the big fish was stabbed to death and tied to the ships side. But I met a shark on my way home. The old man fought with the shark to death, but the big fish was eaten up by the shark. At last, when he came back home, he only had a pair of white fish bones.
From this book, we can feel the old mans spirit of never giving in. When the old man faced the sharks, he knew that he could not defeat the sharks, but he still took out all the tools that could be used as weapons to fight with the sharks. Isnt that the noble quality we should have when facing difficulties, life and destiny?
Life is endless pursuit, it is full of ups and downs, but as long as we face it with a confident and tenacious heart like the old man, we will become the ultimate winner!
Jane Eyre, it’s one of my favorite English novels. Another one is Pride and prejudice. The two ladies, Jane and Elizabeth, are some kind of similar. Both of them are independent, long for true love, and defend against the old rules. They don’t have beautiful face, but they have beautiful minds.
When story began, Jane was a little girl living with her aunts and cousins. They didn’t like her, scolded her, treated her just like a nursemaid, and even locked her in the Red House. Later, she was sent to the Lowood School, where she met Helen, her friend. As time went by, the little poor girl grew up. Then she became a governess for a ten-year-old girl at Thornfield, where she met Mr. Rochester, her master. As a governess at Thornfield, she tasted the pleasures and pains of love. She fell in love with Rochester but had to leave him for some reasons. She found shelter at Moor House, where she focused on teaching and rejected Mr. River’s marriage. At the end, Jane returned to Thronfield after Mr. Rochester was blind. They have a quiet wedding:
“I know what it is to be love and be loved. No woman has ever been closer to her husband than I am to Edward. I am my husband’s life, and he is mine. We are always together, and have never had enough of each other’s company.”
Jane had a bad childhood, but it didn’t affect her much. She read books behind the thick curtain; she got education for eight years in poor condition; she was intelligent, sensible and wise. At the relationship with Edward Rochester, she was quite calm. The governess with her beautiful, pure and frank soul, move Edward. Rochester was rich, clever but a little weird. Jane thought she didn’t really know him and never sure whether he was serious or joking. So she kept a distance with him. Fortunately, she came across the distance and expressed her love to Mr. Rochester:
“Do you think I can watch another woman become your bride? Do you think I’m a machine, without feelings? Do you think, because I’m small and poor and plain, that I have no soul and no heart? Well, you’re wrong! I have as much soul and heart as you. It’s my spirit that speaks to your spirit! We are equal in the sight of God!”
I think when you heard of these words, you would stand at Jane’s side definitely. And that’s love I long for. In our real life, there are many examples that ladies lose themselves and become dependent after marriage. They give up their careers and the husband and kids become their center. For another instance, some ladies get married to the man they don’t love but possess a lot. They regard their husbands as ATMs. For the former, they lose themselves in marriage; for the latter, they do exchange with marriage. Besides, some graduates fall in love with others due to loneliness. You can see such lovers break up upon several months. They do not take love seriously; they do not prepare to love somebody; even, they do not know what love is and how to love. They just pretend to know.
I’ve heard the words: who is a real man? A real man is the one you stay with but you can be yourself. When I was in high school, a Chinese poem named To the Oak, impressed me a lot. I have to say, that’s the love I appreciate.

My Experience of learning English get sick and tired of learning boring grammar games and lifeless words. It goes without saying that I didn't enjoy learning English in the past. Frankly speaking, I even decided to give it up. But now, great changes have taken place on me and every change is the change to the better. Not only did I pass band four and band six College English Test(CET) very easily with high marks but more importantly I began to use English. It was a miracle but I made it, yet how do I account for this? The factors are quite mon: the English movie and soap play. As far as I am concerned, movies and soap plays are of great help in promoting my interest in learning English. In fact, it is supposed to be a nice experience of studying a foreign language, if it were not, people would lose interest in and say no to it by instinct. In my opinion, the picture and the soap play are created to cater for people's needs for enjoyment, they also the best materials of English study, you can take advantage of movies (especially Disney cartoons) to practice your listening skills and enhance your pronunciation. Soap plays, like Friends, to some extent, show you a real daily life in America nowadays. With regards to students, those who are lack of language using environment, soap plays provide a virtual life in west for them to participate in. It can be imagined that their understanding of English culture background can be improved and they will know how to use English in a right way. Above all, because of movies and soap plays. language study is not dull but fun for those who like me. That's my experience of learning English, if you don't believe it, just try!。

Reading Report Of "the story of my life"This book published when Keller was only enty-o–portrays the wild child who is locked in the dark and silent prison of her own body. With an extraordinary immediacy, Keller reveals her frustrations and rage, and takes the reader on the unfettable journey of her education and breakthroughs into the world of munication. From the moment Keller recognizes the word “water” when her teacher finger-spells the letters, we share her triumph as “that living word awakened my soul, gave it light, hope, joy, set it free!” An unparalleled chronicle of courage, The Story of My Life remains startlingly fresh and vital more than a century after its first publication, a timeless testament to an indomitable will. Helen Keller would not be bound by conditions. Rendered deaf and blind at 19 months by scarlet fever, she learned to read (in several languages) and even speak, eventually graduating with honors from Radcliffe College in 1904, where as a student she wrote The Story of My Life. That she acplished all of this in an age when few women attended college and the disabled were often relegated to the background, spoken of only in hushed tones, is remarkable. But Keller's many other achievements are impressive by any standard: she authored 13 books, wrote countless articles, and devoted her life to social reform. An active and effective suffragist, pacifist, and socialist (the latter association earned her an FBI file), she lectured on behalf of disabled people everywhere. She also helped start several foundations that continue to improve the lives of the deaf and blind around the a young girl Keller was obstinate, prone to fits of violence, and seething with rage at her inability to express herself. But at the age of 7 this wild child was transformed when, at the urging of Alexander Graham Bell, Anne Sullivan became her teacher, an event she declares "the most important day I remember in all my life." In a memorable passage, Keller writes of the day "Teacher" led her to a stream and repeatedly spelled out the letters w-a-t-e-r on one of her hands while pouring water over the other. This method proved a revelation: "That living world awakened my soul, gave it light, hope, joy, set it free! There were barriers still, it is true, but barriers that could in time be swept away." And, indeed, most of them were. In her lovingly crafted and deeply perceptive autobiography, Keller's joyous spirit is most vividly expressed in her connection to nature:Indeed, everything that could hum, or buzz, or sing, or bloom, had a part in my education。

Sometimes I caught an insect in the flower I was plucking, and I felt the faint noise of a pair of wings rubbed together in a sudden terror。. The idea of feeling rather than hearing a sound, or of admiring a flower's motion rather than its color, evokes a strong visceral sensation in the reader, giving The Story of My Life a subtle power and beauty. Keller's celebration of discovery bees our own. In the end, this blind and deaf woman succeeds in sharpening our eyes and ears to the beauty of the world.
