The title of my paper is On the Significance of Drama Method in the Improvement of English Learning in Chinese Rural Junior High School. I choose this as my topic due to the following reasons. First of all, I really want to be a teacher, so during the four years, I have read many books about how to become a good teacher. Secondly, when I was a freshman in the summer of 2008, I was chosen as a teaching assistant of the summer camp which was organized by the New Oriental English School in Shijiazhuang. In the summer camp, I rewrote a script of an English drama to be one of the programs of the open ceremony. It was very popular among those students. They thought it was very interesting. In 2010, I was practiced as an English teacher at Chenguantun Middle School in Qinhuangdao, I found that the students have little interest towards English learning, so I hoped I could help them. So I use the Drama Method as my teaching method. Almost all of the students were highly motivated by the interesting teaching method and they have made great progress in the exam one month later. So the research proved that the Drama Method can be used as an effective teaching method. For the above facts, I select the subject of On the Significance of Drama Method in the Improvement of English Learning in Chinese Rural Junior High School as the title of my paper. I hope by studying this topic we can find an effective teaching method to help all the students’ English learning in junior high school.
Next, it is an outline of my paper. In the main part of this paper, I divide it into five parts.
Part one presents an introduction to identify the major problem of junior high school students’ English learning problems
Part two overviews all relevant researches in drama application in teaching oral English.
Part three is the research design, the research hypothesis, the subjects of the research, the research methods and the research procedures are conducted.

She has endowed us with an amazingly large number of legacies in her comparatively limited life, setting foot in various fields such as novels,short stories,children stories, dramas, non-fictions and so on. The acute observations with great insights,as well as the devastating wit and poignant mockery in Carter's works have made her stand out as an iconic figure in English literature. Many scholars and critics have devoted themselves to the research on Angela Carter from many perspectives,including gothic, magic realism, feminism,post-modernism and so on. As a prolific writer who is always ready to blur the boundaries between different genres, Carter has left us a wonderful world to delve into.With the emergence of western women's movement as well as the development of feminist criticism in the 1960s,the feminist approach has become a potent weapon for those who are concerned with the emancipation and legal rights of women. Though women's social status has considerably improved due to the contribution made by countless predecessors,the fundamental problem still lingers on. Carter, with her versatile and avant-garde reputation, is best known as a feminist writer. Concerning the dilemmas and predicaments faced by women nowadays,it is very necessary for us to probe into her insightful and penetrating reflections on femininity as well as the relationship between two genders. The Passion of New Eve, as one of Carter's most representative works, is of great value in the research of her feminist thoughts and propositions.Next, is my paper outline. In the main part of this article, I put it into five parts.Chapter one is an introduction to the thesis, covering the research background, theobjective and significance as well as the organization of the thesis.Chapter two presents a broad picture of Angela Carter's life and her works, as well as the background information about The Passion of New Eve. Carter smashes the legend by revealing the surgically-made essence of mother and the patriarchal values lurking behind her alleged matriarchal kingdom, warning against the peril and impracticality of extremist matriarchy.And her most convincing example goes to Eve, the most important female character in the Bible, Her transformative journey from a chauvinist to a real woman in the story illustrates that gender, rather than a hereditary feature, is the result of social influence and unremitting imitations. Carter concludes the story with proposing ”androgyny“ as a solution to the current problems,implying that mutual respect and understanding is the only way to achieve the harmony between the two genders.Chapter five comes to a general conclusion, summarizing the limitations of the theses as well as some suggestions for further study.OK! The title of my paper is xxxxxxxxxxxxx. I choose this as my topic due to the following reasons.
Firstly, I am very interested in the study of ambiguity. Ambiguity is a common phenomenon in all natural languages. As is known to all, in our daily conversations, ambiguity is often employed to achieve the effect of humor, thus creating a relaxing atmosphere and letting people feel at ease. Some jokes caused by ambiguity is very interesting.
Secondly, I have read several articles about ambiguity written by linguistics and scholars. I found my knowledge of ambiguity is very limited, superficial and nonsystematic. What I knew is just the tip of the iceberg. So I plan to learn more about ambiguity by this research.
Thirdly, I found many scholars have carried out numerous studies of ambiguity, but a majority of these studies are focused on single language separately. Articles about comparison between English ambiguity and Chinese ambiguity are not sufficient. So it is necessary to make further study.
For the above facts, I select this title.
Next, I will present the outline of my thesis. It consists of 7 parts.
The first part gives a brief introduction to the ambiguity and structure of the thesis.
The second part is literature review, briefly introducing the development of study of ambiguity and some scholars’s main views.
The third to fifth parts focus on three types of ambiguity in English and Chinese: phonological ambiguity, lexical ambiguity, syntactic ambiguity. In every broad type, I respectively list some detailed branches and cite some vivid English and Chinese examples to explain these ambiguity phenomena. But I put more focus on the third part and point out two differences of ambiguity between English ambiguity and Chinese ambiguity.
The part six will point out positive results by using ambiguity deliberately in daily conversations, advertisements and literary works.
The last part is the conclusion.
I hope by this contrastive research, we will have a better understanding of ambiguity in English and Chinese and apply it to our life and study.

" 教育模式"
●正面：随着时代的发展，从古时的侧重于“传道受业”，到后来的“师生平等”，再到现在的提倡自主学习的理念不断地普及，可以看到我们的教育模式一直在不断的变革。昆明小学论文答辩这一种模式，恰恰是一种新时代教育体系的新型体验。从小学的时候就培养孩子们思考问题以及查找能力的能力是有意义的，不可否认现在网络时代的发展，查找资料更加的便捷全面，我记得我们小时候查资料，家里没有电脑，得去打印店查，然后打印出来。所以现在网络为学习开辟了一条更加平坦的道路，这也是这种教育改革的意义所在，适应新时代的发展。

●正面：现在的孩子们大多沉迷游戏，网络的普及，各种网上的资料一定程度上弱化了学习能力，所以此论文答辩在一定程度上开创了孩子们主动去探索知识的能力，并且能够将学习和网络合理地结合起来。去探索秦始皇对中国历史的影响，也需要了解秦始皇的故事，了解他人的评论等等，丰富了知识，也增强了孩子们的逻辑思维能力。多学知识本身是没有坏处的，而且小组合作也增强了学习的趣味性，敢于上台去表达自己，也提高了孩子们的自信心。
●负面：首先，选题是否过于深刻，对于历史的影响需要很强大的知识储备，单凭小学的知识水平能够理解到多少，又有多少是孩子们自己想的，多少是单纯借用别人的观点。其次，选题不切合教育实际，小学的首要任务是培养孩子们学习的习惯，学习简单的基础知识，而此选题超纲，起到的作用不大，应该选一些贴合小学程度的课题进行研究。
结语：教育模式的创新应当是以培养能力为主，而非表演，创新的初心没有错，但是方式还可以更加周全完善。
小学超纲的话题怎么能够让孩子们接受，孩子们想要领悟透彻超纲的话题是非常难，甚至会扰乱孩子们学习兴趣，个人建议毕业论文内容要适合各年龄阶段的孩子，小学就不应该接受超纲话题。
这个是非常严肃问题，孩子的成长所受到的教育必须要深思熟虑，内容不能够过于随意。超纲的话题怎么能够给小学孩子学习，这会让孩子的教育失调。
一、孩子们很难领悟到
众所周知，小学生的学习学习压力不是很大，而是处于小学阶段的晚年，应该在一个温馨快乐的童年成长，在这样的情况下，教育就应该要符合小学生的学习情况，考虑学情分析，不能够过于随意化以超纲的话题给小学生学习，甚至让小学生进行答辩，这样是很容易混乱孩子的学习情况与孩子的学习会带来一定的情绪。
二、议论文答辩适合每个年龄阶段
论文答辩应该要适合每一个年龄阶段的孩子，有些地方小学生是没有论文答辩，如果学校出于形式化考虑或者出于提升孩子的学习情况，如果要设计论文答辩的形式，尽量要以符合孩子学习的学情情况来，尽量在孩子学业能力的范围之内，如果也超纲的话，就让孩子进行毕业论文答辩，即使不能领悟，反而会引发孩子们对学习厌恶的心理。
三、小学不应该接受超纲的话题
小学的孩子不能够接受超纲的话题，超纲的话题对于在小学阶段的孩子是很难深入的了解，在逻辑判断空间想象能力过渡阶段情况下，尽量不要给小学生的孩子学习。更多是以最纯真直接的平衡的学习方式话题，如果太深入，孩子长期接受超纲话题，不仅会扰乱孩子学习思维，对孩子也会带来很大的压力。

肯定会，因为去年检测的已经进入了数据库。关于学校查重率、相似率、抄袭率：各个学校不一样，全文重复率在30%一下（而有的学校，本科是20%）。每章重复率应该没有要求，这个每个学校会出细则的，并且学校也出给出他们查重复率的地方——基本都是中国知网。具体打电话问老师，每界每个学校要求都不一样相关查重系统名词的具体作用：查重率的具体概念就是抄袭率，引用率，要用专业软件来测试你的文章与别人论文的相似度，杜绝抄袭。基本就这意思。一个是自写率就是自己写的一个是复写率就是你抄袭的还有一个引用率就是那些被画上引用符号的是合理的引用别人的资料修改重复率或抄袭率论文的经验：CNKI是连续的字数相同不能超过13个字，万方是连续的字数相同不能超过15个字。否则就会标注出来，算进重复率。我们学校规定是CNKI检测重复率不能超过30%.两种数据库检测重复率会有结果上的误差，一般CNKI会更严格一点，先在用万方检测一下，然后对照重复段落，句子反复修改一下，最后用CNKI检测一下，就放心了。在国内就是知网/维普/万方这三大系统，这里面的资源是不断更新的，每一年毕业生的论文除有保密要求外的基本上都是收这三大系统收录作为比对资源库，所以你就可不能大意啊！！国内就是三大系统，知网/维普/万方知网不对个人开放，维普及万方对个人开放万方不检测互联网及英文，知网及维普都检测互联网及英文。现在，所有学校对于硕士、博士毕业论文,必须通过论文检测查重才能算合格过关。本科毕业生，大部分211工程重点大学，采取抽检的方式对本科毕业论文进行检测查重。抄袭或引用率过高，一经检测查重查出超过百分之三十,后果相当严重。相似百分之五十以下，延期毕业，超过百分之五十者，取消学位。辛辛苦苦读个大学，花了好几万，加上几年时间，又面临找工作，学位拿不到多伤心。但是，所有检测系统都是机器，都有内在的检测原理，我们只要了解了其中内在的检测原理、系统算法、规律，通过检测报告反复修改，还是能成功通过检测，轻松毕业的。3、有部分同学反映说自己在段落中明明引用或者抄袭了其他文献的段落或句子，为什么没有检测出来，这是正常的。中国知网对该套检测系统的灵敏度设置了一个阀值，该阀值为5%，以段落计，低于5%的抄袭或引用是检测不出来的，这种情况常见于大段落中的小句或者小概念。举个例子：假如检测段落1有10000字，那么引用单篇文献500字以下，是不会被检测出来的。实际上这里也告诉同学们一个修改的方法，就是对段落抄袭千万不要选一篇文章来引用，尽可能多的选择多篇文献，一篇截取几句，这样是不会被检测出来的。4、一篇论文的抄袭怎么才会被检测出来？知网论文检测的条件是连续13个字相似或抄袭都会被红字标注，但是必须满足3里面的前提条件：即你所引用或抄袭的A文献文字总和在你的各个检测段落中要达到5%。1）知网查重时，黄色的文字是“引用”，红色的文章是“涉嫌剽窃”。（2）知网查重时，只查文字部分，“图”、“mathtype编辑的公式”、“word域代码”是不查的（要想知道知网到底查那些部分，可以“全选”——“复制”——“选择性粘贴”——“只保留文字”）。建议公式用mathtype编辑，不要用word自带的公式编辑器。（3）word、excel编辑的“表”是可以查出来的。在某些被逼无奈的情况下，可以选择把表截图放到论文里边去！作者亲眼见过有同学自己编的系数，查出来居然跟人家重了，数据决定了系数还不能变，欲哭无泪……（4）参考文献的引用也是要算重复率的（包括在学校要求的X%以内）！所以引用人家文献的时候最好用自己的话改写一下。（5）知网的查重是以“章”为基本单元的。比如“封面”、“摘要”、“绪论”都会作为单独的一章，每一章出一个检测结果，标明重复率。每一章有单独的重复率，全文还有一个总的重复率。有些学校在规定论文是否通过查重时，不仅要求全文重复率不能超过多少，还对每章重复率也有要求。（6）知网查重的确是以“连续13个字与别的文章重复”做为判断依据的，跟之前网上一些作者说的情况一致。如果你能够把论文改到任何一句与别的文章保证任意连续13个字都不一样，知网是查不出来的。（7）但是，如果你有一处地方超过13个字与别的文章重复，知网的服务器都对这处地方的前后进行模糊搜索，那些仅仅是简单的加了一些“的”、“在……时”、“但是”等词语来隔断13个字多数情况是会检测出来的。这些模糊搜索有时候非常傻，可能会把一篇写如何养猪的文章跟你的那篇写建筑的文章关联到一起，说你涉嫌抄袭！遇到这种情况，你就自己”呵呵“吧！（8）书、教材在知网的数据库里是没有的。但是，copy书的同学需要注意，你copy的那部分可能已经被别的文章抄过了，检测的时候就重复了。这样的情况经常出现，尤其是某些经典理论，用了上百年了，肯定有人写过了！当然，有些同学觉得用自己的话改写一下就ok了。但现实情况是：这些经典理论用自己的话写了也一样有”标红“的可能，因为这些经典的理论已经被人翻来覆去写了N遍了！会不会”标红“就看你人品了！作者查重时，曾出现过一段话用自己的语言翻来覆去改了三遍仍然”标红“的情况，让人哭笑不得。只能说作者当时人品衰得没法了，但愿现在发的这篇文章能攒些人品，以待来日！（9）网络上的某些内容也是在知网的数据库里的。比如：“百度文库”、“道客巴巴”、“豆丁网”、“互动百科”、“百度百科”。作者查重的时候，甚至还遇到很多奇葩的网站，神马“东方财富网博客”、“人大经济论坛”。所以，选择网上的内容时要慎重。（10）外文文献，知网数据库里存储较少。鼓励大家多看外文文献，多学习国外的先进科学知识、工程技术，翻译过来，把它们应用到我国的社会主义现代化论文中来！（11）建议各位学校查重前，在网上先自费查一遍。检测报告会对重复的地方”标红“，先修改一遍。（12）检测一遍修改完成后，同学们不要掉以轻心。因为知网查重最变态、最令人愤怒的地方来了：第一次查重没有“标红”的地方，第二遍可能会出现“标红”，说你是抄袭。舍得花钱的话，在网上花钱再查一遍，直到低于学校要求的重复率。（13）网上现在常用的查重有”万方“、”知网“、”paperpass“，paperpass最松，万方居中，知网最严。万方的数据库不全，查出来重复率会低于知网5%，知网是以”连续13个字一样“就算重复，所以查出来重复率较高！最好选择用万方先预查，改完的通过率一般较高。1、如果是引用，在引用标号后，不要轻易使用句号，如果写了句号，句号后面的就是剽窃了（尽管自已认为是引用），所以，引用没有结束前，尽量使用分号。有些人将引用的上标放在了句号后面，这是不对的，应该在句号之前。2、可以将文字转换为表格，将表格边框隐藏。3、如果你看的外文的多，由外文自己翻译过来引用的，个人认为，不需要尾注，就可以当做自己的，因为查重的数据库只是字符的匹配，无法做到中文和英文的匹配。4、查重是一个匹配的过程，是以句为单位，如果一句话重复了，就很容易判定重复了，所以：的确是经典的句子，就用上标的尾注的方式，在参考文献中表达出来，或者是用：原文章作者《名字》和引号的方式，将引用的内容框出来。引号内的东西，系统会识别为引用如果是一般的引用，就采用罗嗦法，将原句中省略的主语、谓语、等等添加全，反正哪怕多一个字，就是胜利，也可以采用横刀法，将一些句子的成分，去除，用一些代词替代。或者是用洋鬼子法，将原文中的洋名，是中文的，就直接用英文，是英文的直接用中文，或是哦中文的全姓名，就用中文的名，如果是中文的名，就找齐了，替换成中文的姓名。故意在一些缩写的英文边上，加上（注释）(画蛇添足法），总之，将每句话都可以变化一下，哪怕增加一个字或减少一个字，都是胜利了。特别注意标点符号，变化变化，将英文的复合句，变成两个或多个单句，等等，自己灵活掌握。因为真正写一篇论文，很罕见地都是自己的，几乎不可能，但大量引用别人的东西，说明你的综合能力强，你已经阅读了大量的资料，这就是一个过程，一个学习、总结的过程。所有的一切，千万别在版面上让导师责难，这是最划不来的。导师最讨厌版面不规范的，因为他只负责内容，但又不忍心因为版面问题自己的弟子被轰出来。5、下面这一条我傻妞试过的，决对牛B：将别人的文字和部分你自己的文字，选中，复制（成为块，长方形），另外在桌面建一个空文件，将内容，复制到文件中，存盘，关闭。将这个文件的图标选中，复制，在你的正文中的位置上，直接黏贴，就变成了图片了，不能编辑的。这个操作事实上是将内容的文件作为一个对象插入的，所以是图片。这个操作事实上是将内容的文件作为一个对象插入的。所以是图片。结论：本文的写作纯属作者个人理解、心得体会，根据多年来的检测修改及学校系统规律所得，有人祝各位同学顺利毕业，大好的工作、大把的妹纸在前方等着你，骚年！师兄只能帮你倒这儿了关于知网相关抽查规定：有规定的，可以进行第一次修改，修改之后通过就可以答辩，如果第二次不通过就算结业，在之后4个月内还要交论文或者设计的。这个是在抄袭30%的基础上的。如果抄袭50%以上的话，直接结业在之后4个月内还要交论文或者设计的。1．被认定为抄袭的本科毕业设计（论文），包括与他人已有论文、著作重复总字数比例在30%至50%（含50%）之间的，需经本人修改。修改后经过再次检测合格后，方可参加学院答辩。再次检测后仍不合格的，按结业处理。须在3个月后提交改写完成的毕业设计（论文），检测合格后再参加答辩。2．被认定为抄袭的本科毕业设计（论文），且与他人已有论文、著作重复总字数比例超过50%的，直接按结业处理。须在4个月后提交改写的毕业设计（论文），检测合格后再参加答辩。

2、如何确定研究思路？
在研究中到底是问题重要还是概念重要呢？我认为，问题是研究的价值基点，概念是研究的逻辑起点。所以首先要找一个真问题，好问题，以及抵达问题的方法路径要合理和科学，这个非常重要。我有两点值得注意：
（1）关注现实（问题/现象），但必须思考理论问题，而不是套一个理论，经常有同学说我得找个什么理论，千万别被理论绑架了，是我们对现实问题的本质和规律把握上，只有从理论上才能很好地诠释和概括，所以才要思考理论。
（2）对策性研究要用数据和方法支撑，拍脑袋谈对策是不行的。不仅要“自圆其说”，还要有足够的说服力。
研究思路要求：
（1）要交代研究命题成立的合法性，也就是为什么这个研究问题成立，问题性到底在哪儿，不要到最后答辩的时候，老师说你这个问题是一个伪命题。
（2）研究思路不是说你要分几部分来论述，然后每一部分研究什么，而是要说明白我为什么从这几个部分来谈，每一部分之间是什么逻辑关系，这个要交代清楚。
（3）研究思路即论文框架设计，在开题时应完成总体设计，在写作过程可以进行局部设计，但最好不要进行大的修改。如果推翻重来也就说明原定思路有问题，开题工作没做好。但也有另一种情况，原来的思路是对的，但写着写着就走歪了，那就是写作的问题了。
创新性要求：
明确指出你在哪些方面进行了创新，这个一般要结合前文文献综述中的结论来谈，一般需要一二三明确指出来，哪些方面创新了。
如何思考整个研究呢？可以从两个方面来变换自己的思路。我觉得专家与学者的区别是学者是把简单问题复杂化，专家把复杂问题简单化，二者结合起来就比较好。既能化繁为简，也能深入浅出。站起来可以看清一群蚂蚁，蹲下来才能看清每只蚂蚁。研究视角沿着宏观——微观——宏观不断变换，形成一个“葫芦式”的研究思路。
3、论文写作
研究生论文主要有三类：课程论文、学术论文和学位论文。课程论文主要是作学术训练，目的是培养研究意识和学术规范；学位论文分描述性与论述性两种，用于研究生的综合训练和学术评价，论述性论文有可能取得一定的研究成果；学术期刊发表的论文则是体现最新研究成果，是呈现新观点新发现的.理论创新。
学术论文是科学研究工作者以理论的形式表述自己科学研究的创新成果，公开发表或宣读。学术论文与一般杂文、理论文章的不同点就在于科学和创新。学位论文是要通过答辩和专家评审并授予相应学位的学术论文。研究生学位论文首先是写给老师看的，要经得起学者的审阅和检验。学位论文的核心在创新，尽可能用自己的话、自己的材料来充分论证自己的创新观点。当然，现今的硕士研究生一般都是科研新手，要求他们的学位论文都达到以上的创新程度，一般很难，但应该是努力的方向。
学位论文完成初稿后，最好冷处理一段时间。一方面交给导师看，提出指导修改意见；一方面利用这段时间考博、找工作、继续读书研究，还可将学位论文拆成小论文发表。在这一过程中，可能又有新的思考和收获。到最后正式提交论文前，或者在预答辩之后，静下心来认真修改论文，这样才能跳出原有的思维定势，将论文修改好，精益求精，不留遗憾，顺利通过答辩并力争取得好成绩，为读研划上一个准备通过圆满的句号。
此外，写论文要从看论文开始，要多读论文读好论文。还要会读论文，研读论文的三种方式：学习知识型、批评讨论型、启发研究型。
4、学术规范
20世纪英国哲学家布朗在一篇题为《科学的自治》一文中，首次使用了“学术共同体”这个概念。学术共同体指具有相同或相近的价值取向、文化生活、内在精神和具有特殊专业技能的人，为了共同的价值理念或兴趣目标，并且遵循一定的行为规范而构成的一个群体。新闻传播学尽管尚未形成真正的学术共同体，但是需要学术规范已形成共识。所谓学术规范是指学术共同体根据学术发展规律参与制定的有关各方共同遵守的有利于学术积累和创新的各种准则和要求，是整个学术共同体在长期学术活动中的经验总结和概括。学术规范的内容涵盖以下三个层面：
逻辑层面，主要规范逻辑思维与创造性等方面的内容；论文各章节之间要有一个递进的逻辑关系，形成一条问题链，不要采用教科书的写法，前后章节只是并列关系。
方法层面，主要规范研究的路径、边界与方法等；问题决定思路，思路决定方法，而不是反过来。同时要注意问题的边界，把问题讨论限定在一个合适的范围内。
形式层面，主要指文本规范，包括文献索引、引证出处、参考书目、注释体例等。
研究要讲学术规范，没有规矩不成方圆，这就是科学性。但任何一种极致离荒谬只一步之遥，任何东西强调过头了也会有问题。引经据典、旁征博引不能代替原创。有的一万多字的论文可以有100条以上的引文。不妨做个试验：将文中的引文全部抽去，还剩下什么？再将转述的话删除，还只剩下什么？
论文要有学术性，那么什么是学术性呢？有一个最基本的判断，就是你的核心概念是一个学术概念，就是你的标题里面最起码应该有个学术概念。有人说我要研究电视台做的活动，这只是一个研究范畴，如果聚焦到电视台活动中的仪式传播，仪式传播就是一个学术概念，这样学术性就上来了。
不是学术概念或尚未形成学术概念者难道就没有研究的价值吗？例如“新闻立台”、“网络问政”，是不是学术概念？研究民生新闻、传媒产业到底有多少学术性？处于急剧发展的新闻学和转型中的传媒，有太多的现象需要关注，有太多的问题需要解决，难道因为它还没有成为一个学术概念我们就不去研究它吗？我们完全可以用学术的方法来研究这些现实问题、中国问题。
三、研究方法和方法论
研究方法是新闻传播学研究生的核心竞争力。研究任何一门科学都需要找到合适自身的方法和路径。这里说的方法有三个层面，狭义的层面是作为分析工具的研究方法，如内容分析法；广义的方法包括什么是可以研究的问题，怎样设计一个回答问题的研究计划，用什么方法搜集和分析资料，怎样从资料中提出对问题的解释，怎样阐明自己的发现并把它表述出来等。最高层次的就是哲学层面的方法论，它就是人们认识世界、改造世界的一般方法，是人们用什么样的方式、方法来观察事物和处理问题。概括地说，世界观主要解决世界“是什么”的问题，方法论主要解决“怎么办”的问题。在此我着重谈后两个层面的方法。
1、方法论
“方法论的自觉是学科成熟的标志。”从方法论层面来看，研究新闻传播用什么方法呢？科学的结论通常用两种方法来保证其有效性：要么由经验事实（尤其是数据）予以支撑，要么由逻辑推理予以保证。研究方法本身并没有优劣之分，应该是具体问题具体分析，可谓一把钥匙开一把锁。受美国实证主义的影响，我国新闻传播学研究加强实证研究，这是好事，但也会走进另一个极端。我参加一次传播学硕士论文答辩时发现，有的同学的实证研究虽然做了大量的数据采集和分析，但却感觉他是认真真地去做一个毫无价值的东西。新闻传播学研究的是一个极为复杂的社会系统，简单生硬地使用一种研究方法来讨论和分析某一问题往往是力不从心的。人文科学回答“为什么？”，社会科学回答“是什么？”，应该互为补充，相辅相成。
我国新闻传播学方法论的演变：人文学科方法论——社会学科方法论——人文、社会、自然科学结合的方法论。1987年，祝建华教授发表的论文《传播学定量研究方法的科学来源》，可能是最早的以“科学方法论”为论证对象的文章。这篇文章明确提出，传统的研究方法——哲学思辨、历史求证、法规判别——已不能适应科学研究深入发展的客观需要，需要借鉴“科学方法论”。文章指出了科学方法论的要义：科学研究的关键不在于结论是什么，而在于得出结论的过程是否合乎科学原理。目前我国新闻传播学质量较高的文章，通常是量化分析与质化分析相结合，新闻学话题与传播学方法相结合。陈力丹教授认为：“新闻传播学在研究方法上的整合方向，除了证实研究的量化分析与质化分析的结合外，更为长远的整合，应该是人文——历史——哲学的思维方式与‘科学方法论’的思维方式的结合。”①
“当代学术发展，正面临着两个基本现实：一是没有哪一个学科，仅仅依靠自己的力量，能够解决任何一个重大社会理论和实践问题；二是实现学科进步，越来越多地需要借鉴其他学科的理论、方法和成果，也就是说，不同学科之间相互依存度在加强。正是这两个现实，是学科之间的对话、交流不但成为可能，而且成为必须。”②因此，跨学科研究和系统研究的方法日益显得重要。
2、研究方法
时常有些同学还在尚未确定选题时就跟我讨论研究方法，试图通过研究方法的优势而确保论文的品质，这是一种为方法而方法的做法。研究方法的选取应该是为研究选题度身定做的。不要过分关心方法，重要的是某研究有没有意思，逻辑是否成立，经验根据是否充分可靠，结论是否有助于社会变革的思考和对策。
实证研究
实证研究主张研究真实的世界，有别于语词构成的概念世界或由信条构成的理论世界。实证研究用可经验感受和验证的方式，有别于概念界定和演绎的方法，运用特定研究所必备的多学科知识，努力追求功能性和因果性，理解社会中的各种现象，进而有助于人们审慎但有效地改造世界。实证研究也完全可能做得不好，同样可能毫无学术意义，同样可能自觉不自觉地研究假问题，仅仅是把概念或意识形态争论演绎成所谓实证研究。因此，所谓的实证研究，不是以方法来界定，或者是以概念来界定，而是要看这个问题是不是有意思，是不是我们必须面对的问题。
不要以为实证研究只有定量分析，它包括定量和定性两种研究方法。量化研究主要是回答“是什么”，而质化研究主要回答“为什么”。当然，质化研究对于样品的选取十分严格，如果能够辅助其他研究方法，可以避免“只见树木不见森林”的偏差与片面。量化研究同样面临挑战，一是假设和取样，二是对数据的解读，对结果的解释。长期以来，人类学和民族志的“田野调查”没有引起新闻传播学者足够的重视，少有学者把新闻实践和传媒业务作为调查研究的“田野”。为此，我曾在《中国社会科学报》撰文《质化研究：新闻传播被忽视的分析工具》，之后在《湛江师范学院学报》作了更详尽的介绍和讨论。
个案研究
在国内外学界，问卷调查成为主流研究方法；个案研究方法则备受批评。在各种批评意见中，代表性问题成为个案研究方法遭受最多批评的问题。例如，人们常常发出疑问：对单个个案的研究，能有代表性吗？能有多大的代表性？个案研究的结论怎么能推论到总体？可以说，个案研究的代表性问题是国内外社会学界至今还没有完全解决的问题。其实所谓“代表性”属于统计调查研究的问题，主要是指在概率意义上“样本”能否估测“总体”的特征（谢宇，2006；彭玉生，2011）。因为没有涉及“大数”现象，个案研究无从谈及这一问题，但这也并不意味着个案研究的意义就限于其本身，研究者都试图“走出个案”（卢晖临、李雪，2007）。
像统计调查研究一样，个案研究最终呈现的结果也是一项知识，这一知识是否有意义在于它能否增加新的认识，即能否促进知识的增长。知识包括经验知识和理论知识，相应地，知识增长也包括两个方面：扩充对经验事实的认知与提出新的理论见解。个案研究如何能获得对更大范围事实的认知？如何能获得更具一般性的理论概括？即基于个案研究能否获得超过个案适用范围的知识？这是个案研究始终要面临的问题，我们称之为超越性问题，也是个案研究的典型意义所在。在社会学/人类学的研究脉络中，三种研究取向对于这一问题的处理深具影响，它们分别是费孝通的“社区研究”、格尔茨的“深描说”和布洛维的“扩展个案法”。对超越性问题的处理主要从两个维度展开：一是将个案视为“整体”中的“部分”，探寻事实层面上通过“部分”认识“整体”的途径；一是着眼于个案研究的理论意义，试图通过个案进行理论启发或检验。
研究方法是为研究服务的，没有一种研究方法是可以轻而易举取得效果。思辨推理需要很强的理论功底，实证研究不仅要求数据采集和分析的严谨，还要有解释力和说服力。往往单一的研究方法难以解决问题，可以采用多种分析工具相结合的方法，如定量研究加深度访谈，个案研究为主，比较研究为辅。但一般不宜超过三种研究方法。我们要充分认识各种研究方法所能和所不能，了解它的适用范围和局限性，才能把它用对用好。此外，除了史学研究之外，文献分析一般不能算是一种研究方法，它是研究前必须做的文献综述。
