To climb the mountains was hard work but as we looked around us, we were surprised by the view. We seemed to be able to see for miles. At one point we were so high that we found ourselves cycling through clouds. Then we began going down the hills. It was great fun especially as it gradually became much warmer. In the valleys colorful butterflies flew around us and we saw many yaks and sheep eating green grass. At this point we had to change our caps, coats, gloves and trousers for T-shirts and the early evening we always stop to make camp. We put up our tent and then we eat. After supper Wang Wei put her head down on her pillow and went to sleep but I stayed awake. At midnight the sky became clearer and the stars grew brighter. It was so quiet. There was almost no wind-only the flames of our fire for company. As I lay beneath the stars I thought about how far we had already will reach Dali in Yunnan Province soon, where our cousins Dao Wei and Yu Hang will join us. We can hardly wait to see them!

一二三区：
中科院分区表选择学术影响力作为划分方式，把每个学科的所有期刊按照学术影响力（3年平均IF）由高到底降序排列，依次划分为4个区，使得每个分区期刊影响力总和相同。
具体方法如下：
1、把每一个学科的期刊集合（数量为n本）按照3年平均IF降序排列，以下各步计算，均基于此顺序。
2、前5%期刊（该学科期刊总数量的5%，即5%*n）为1区期刊。
3、剩下的95%期刊中，计算它们的3年平均IF的总和（S），然后求总和的1/3（S/3），剩下3个区的每区的期刊影响力累积和各为S/3。
4、上一步的期刊集合（也即除1区期刊外的期刊集合）中，从第1本期刊往后计数，如果它们的3年平均IF的总和(S2)等于上个步骤计算出的总和S/3，那么这些期刊就是2区期刊；相同的方式可以划分出3区期刊，剩下所有期刊为4区期刊（S2=S3=S4= S/3）。

Top期刊遴选：
为了在分区方法的基础上遴选出更多优秀的期刊，在大类分区中还设置了Top期刊。
Top期刊遴选方法如下：
将1区期刊划入Top范围内；2区中2年总被引频次指标位于前10%的期刊也归入Top期刊集合。
2015年，Top期刊的界定原则有所变化，在上述定量测度规则的基础上新增同行评议的考量因素。
对于少数期刊，尽管不在上述定量方法划分出来的Top期刊的范围中，但经过科学共同体评议，被认为是高学术影响力期刊，直接被采纳加入Top期刊。

SCI一区学术期刊就是指影响影子在一区划分范围内的期刊了。官方搜索界面有搜索分区选项，勾选即可查询不同分区期刊详情。
应该说SCI官方的划分方式的认可度更高一些，也更加通用一些，毕竟国际学术界也是按照这个划分来的，中科院的划分更加适合国内SCI期刊的发表，所以作者要关注所在学校或单位的文件具体规定，SCI官方标准对大多人更有利。
按照美国信息研究所每年公布的JCR期刊影响因子分区情况，将SCI收录同一学科中的期刊按影响因子从高到低进行排序。学科影响因子前5%的期刊为An1区期刊，学科影响因子前20%为An2区期刊，学科影响因子前50%的3区为An3区期刊；学科影响因子后50%的为An4区期刊；EI收录核心期刊源为An5区期刊，在以上分区中所对应的’期刊上发表的论文分别称为An1类、An2类、An3类、An4类和An5类的论文。
一二三区是对期刊的分区。中国科学院文献情报中心按照期刊的影响因子，投稿难易程度和影响力分为1-4区。一区为顶级期刊，在自然科学领域有Nature，Science，Cell三大顶刊。
