以前在汉化组，还是个菜鸟的时候，有一次碰到了这么一句话。
「いきなり 随分広いところに出たな」
这句话直译大概是“突然来到了一个相当宽广的地方啊”。
参与过游戏汉化的人应该都知道，很多时候交给翻译的素材只有文本，并且往往是没有上下文的一句对话，这时候就需要翻译稍微脑补一下对话的场景，才能翻得好一点。
于是我就开始脑补了，嗯，这应该是主角一行人经过了一段比较狭窄的通路，比如隧道之类的，突然眼前出现了一片较为宽阔的地方，某人发出的感叹。
上面那句直译肯定是不靠谱，怎么读都别扭。从结构上来看，这句话的主体应该是「ところに出た」，也就是“来到了地方”。可是其他几个用来修饰的词“突然”“相当”“宽阔”，塞到哪个位置读着都不太通顺。
我在绞尽脑汁想了半天也没琢磨出比较漂亮的翻法，遂去请教了组里的一个大神。
直到现在我都特别敬佩这个大神。不光因为他翻译水平高，更重要的是他给后辈们的指导做得非常到位，经常能让我们学到不少东西。
就比如这次。
大神看了一眼，问我：
“你这样想想，如果是你在这种情形下，用汉语表达同样的意思，你会怎么说？”
我还没从死胡同里转过弯来，想了想，没有答案。
大神扔给我一句话。
“这地方真大呀！”
这几个字带给我的震撼很难用语言描述，当时似乎也感受到了主角们眼前豁然开朗的一刹那。
从那以后的翻译之路仿佛也宽阔了数倍，一路畅通无阻。
武大法学院的见闻，法学院对面就是外国语学院，期末时会有漂亮的外院妹子来这边复习～某天晚自习结束，看见座位上遗留着一张日语翻译作业，基本都是短句，其中一句后半段是“青山耸立，绿水环绕。”那时标日初级刚毕业的我不禁肃然起敬，原来日专都翻这么唯美的句子啊，真不愧是专业的！然后看见那位同学的答案：「绿ばかりです。」简单粗暴，翻译者大概是位女王。二次补充：评论里要求翻译一下，写原答案时也纠结了一下要不要翻译，嗯其实这里笑点在于「ばかり」的微妙语气，虽然中文直译是“全都是绿色”，但带上那种莫名嫌弃的语感，更贴切可以翻译成“咋哪儿哪儿哪儿都是绿的捏？！”光看都能想象到妹纸写作业时的暴躁心情。
我看过最搞笑的就是感谢前男友的，可能是因为分手了才会让自己的思维如此活跃，以至于写出接近万字的论文。
