一、指导导师的基本条件 按照有关规定，大专毕业论文指导导师的条件一般有： 1．具有有关专业的较高理论和政治素养的讲师或相当于讲师以上职称的教员、研究人员。 2，具有本科专业理论素养和文字水平较高的相当于副处级以上的领导干部。 本科毕业论文指导导师条件： 1．具有有关专业的较高理论和政治素养及文字水乎的讲师以上职称的教员或研究人员。 2．具有研究生毕业学历，理论素养、政治水平、文字功底较高的相当于正处级以上的领导干部。(引自中共中央党校函授学院《毕业论文工作规程》) 二、指导导师的修养 从以上基本条件可以看出，担任函授学员指导导师的人，其本身必须具有较高的素质和修养，主要是思想方面的修养、理论方面的修养和文字方面的修养。 (一)思想修养 身为指导导师，首先应具有较高的政治觉悟、思想水平和强烈的责任感，有“燃烧自己、照亮别人”的“蜡烛”精神和甘为“人梯”的精神。要把帮助学员顺利撰写并通过毕业论文，看成是学校交给自己的一项严肃任务，作为教师的神圣职责。 学员对待毕业论文的态度大致有三种：第一种是非常认真，积极性很高，主动向指导导师请教的；第二种是比较认真，想写好毕业论文，也希望得到指导导师指教的；第三种是敷衍了事，被动应付，导师不催不动笔，迟迟不同指导导师见面的。对第一种学员，指导教师应悉心指教，提出高标准、严要求，鼓励和帮助他写出高质量的毕业论文。对第二种学员，教师应满腔热情予以接待，鼓励他树立信心，并从多方面给以具体指导。对于第三类学员，指导导师应不避“皇帝不急，倒急死太监”之讥，放下架子，主动找他谈话，帮助他提高认识，端正态度，督促并指导他及时完成毕业论文写作任务。 指导导师不仅要凭自己的业务水平帮助学员提高毕业论文质量，更要以自己的思想品格影响学员，表现出为人师表的良好风范。(二)理论修养 俗话说：“要给学生一杯水，教师就要有一桶水。”指导导师的理论修养、学术水平直接影响学员毕业论文的质量。学员毕业论文所涉及的学科是非常广泛的，不但有马克思主义哲学、政治经济学、科学社会主义、党史、党建诸方面，还有政治学、管理学、法学、公共关系学以及系统论、信息论、人口理论、宗教理论……等等，应有尽有。担任毕业论文指导导师的人，应当是个“通才”和“杂家”，对马克思主义基础理论要有扎实的基础，对当代各种新理论、边缘科学要有广泛的涉猎，还要有丰富的自然常识与社会知识。否则，学员写的文章尚且看不借，又何从指导!即使可以通过分工，实行分类指导，但往往不可能分得那么细，学员论文中所涉及的知识也不可能那么单纯专一。更何况学员论文的一个通病是写得太实，理论性欠强，指导教师应帮助他们在文章里“加进”理论分析的内容。而要做到这一点，非有一定的理论素养不可。 (三)文字修养 毕业论文是以中文形式写的，故指导导师的中文写作水平起码应不在学员之下。他们不但要熟练地掌握论文写作知识，具备一定的语法、修辞和逻辑知识，而且要有扎实的文字功底和较高的实际写作能力。 学员论文中出现的语病较多，指导老师应帮助他们纠正。例如；由于各种利益关系的调整，人们的思想和情绪都发生了强烈碰撞[情绪如何“碰撞”?跟谁碰撞?可改为震荡]，其冲击波不可避免地在青年人身上反映出来[冲击波怎么“反映”?可改为：其冲击波不可避免地撞击在青年人身上，引起他们的强烈反应]。 当前我国已进入社会主义现代化建设新时期，祖国现代化建设宏图需要青年人接替、继承[宏图可以描画、实施、实现，不能“接替”，也不说“继承”]。 造成这种状况的原因，除了放松对青年思想教育外，舆论导向失误，一度宣传阵地中“雷锋”消失，改革开放过程中西方一些资产阶级思想侵入我国，没有及时地批判这句话不完整，可在“原因”后面加上“很复杂”，在“批判”后面加上“也是一个重要原因”，形成两个并列分句]。 俗话说，名师出高徒。指导教师不必都是“名师”，但都应有“名师意识”。要意识到，教师是在有意无意地以自己的面貌塑造学生的，因而要重视自身素质的养成和水平的提高。否则，“以其昏昏，使人昭昭”，是不行的.
