由于按照专业建所建学协会的原因，科研院所和学协会，在拥有一两种顶级期刊后，一般没有动力创办更多的期刊了。
大学则不然，尤其是综合性大学。一旦A学院创办SCI期刊成功，BCD等学院很可能会积极跟进的。
好的学院，有比较强的多个系，足以支撑更多的期刊。比如同济大学的土木工程学院，现在就支撑5种左右英文期刊，上表中的Underground Space，是其地下系的。
同济大学作为第三主办单位参与的Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering也在土木学院；2020年高起点新刊《智能建造》也在土木学院（2021年Launch)；还有两种好像还没有CN号。
不少双一流大学，已经意识到创建世界一流期刊，对双一流建设的促进作用，陆陆续续行动中啦。可以预期，这一趋势还会延续一段时间。
