鲁迅作品中的农民形象农村生活和农民形象在鲁迅小说中占有显著的地位,在鲁迅的笔下共有两类农民形象,一类是哀其不幸怒其不争型,主要有《祝福》里的祥林嫂、《风波》里的九斤老太等。另一类是完全批判型,主要就是阿Q。这里我主要说一下阿Q的形象。《阿Q正传》以塑造辛亥革命时期一个农民的典型取得了非凡的成就。阿Q的形象是鲁迅塑造的一个旧中国受剥削、压迫最深重的、质朴愚昧并沾染上一些游手之徒的狡猾的贫穷落后却不觉悟的农民典型。阿Q在经济上一无所有;在政治上深受压迫;在思想上是落后愚昧的。其性格核心是“精神胜利法”,具体表现为盲目自大、自轻自贱、自欺欺人、可怕的健忘症、欺软怕硬等。长期的封建思想统治和自身性格毛病以及辛亥革命的不彻底性是阿Q悲剧性的成因。阿Q的革命是典型的农民自发革命,表现出他的愚昧,鲁迅通过他的被杀对辛亥革命的不彻底性进行了深刻的批判。阿Q的形象具有很大社会普遍性,具有高度典型意义和强烈的针砭与警示作用。
