日记形式的 It is fine today. I made an appointment with my foreign friend Peter to visit the Great Wall on Badaling. We set out early in the morning. We first took the subway and then the bus. On reaching the foot of the Great Wall, Peter was attracted by the landscape immediately."What a won der!" he said repeatedly and pulled me onto the cable car at once. We got a view of the beautiful scenery. After a while, we got to the Great Wall. Peter was very excited. He touched the bricks frequently. I explained to him when and how' we Chinese built the wall. He listened with great interest. When we entered a turret, Peter was more curious. I told him what the turret was and what it was built for. "It was really an amazing achievement!" Peter gasped with admiration and took several photos. Unconsciously, we found we had reached the Stele of Brave Man, the symbol of the Great Wall. The Great Wall runs across North China like a huge dragon, It winds its way from west to east, across deserts, over mountains, through valleys till at last it reaches the sea. It's the longest wall on the earth, also one of the wonders in the world.

The Great Wall has a history of more than 2000 years. The first part was built during the Spring and Autumn Period. All the walls were joined up in Qin Dynasty.All tile work was done by hand. Thousands of people died while building the wall.Thus the Great Wall came into existence.

Since then, it has been rebuilt and repaired many times. Now the Great Wall,the admiration of the world, has taken on a new look. It's visited by large numbers of people from all parts'of the'country and the world.

比如： After o hours the Great Wall appeared before my eyes 这句中 before 就用错了，这多是指时间方面的，这里应该用in front of 。 before my eyes 有点Chinglish ,in front of me 就显得地道多了。

所以整句应该是 After o hours the Great Wall appeared in front of me 比较好。 我感觉他们团队写的那篇习作用语上不太考究，很多句子都是 I 或者 the Great Wall 作为主语的，这样会显得累赘、欠灵活，在考试中很容易打低分。

The Great Wall

The Great Wall of China is considered to be the only man-made project visible from the moon. Although it was once thought to have been built entirely during the Qin Dynasty beeen 221 and 208 BC, it is now believed to have been started earlier.

The 15-foot-high, 25-foot-wide, 1,500-mile-long structure was undoubtedly built to keep out invading enemies. To the mon people of the empire, who had been forced to build the wall, it was not worth it, however. The wall, and other public works pleted by the Qin Dynasty,had caused great losses of wealth and human life in the country. As a result,an angry population rose up in rebellion against the Qin Dynasty,and in 207 BC the Han Dynasty began.

Last Sunday.I got up very early in the morning.After breakfast I went to the bookstore.I wanted to buy a book Robinson Crusoe.I looked for the book for quite some time but couldn't find it.The shop assistant then came to help me.I was very glad that I got the book at last.
