一、指代不同

1、escalate：扶手电梯。

2、lift：箱式电梯。

3、elevator：电梯。

二、用法不同

1、escalate：第三人称单数，escalates、现在分词，escalating、过去式，escalated、过去分词，escalated，派生词、escalation，记忆技巧：escal 梯子 + ate 表动词 → 爬梯子使人逐步上升 → 逐步上升。

2、lift：指安装于大型建筑物内供人上下楼或搬运货物的“电梯”，此时主要用于英式英语。引申可指“免费搭车”“坐顺风车”“鼓舞，振奋”。

3、elevator：基本意思是“举起”“抬起”，指克服重力“提升”某物，尤指借助体力把重物从平面或较低处向上举起，是日常用语。
