1、If not to the sun for smiling, warm is still in the sun there, but wewill laugh more confident calm; if turned to found his own shadow, appropriate escape, the sun will be through the heart, warm each place behind the corner; if an outstretched palm cannot fall butterfly, then clenched waving arms, given power; if I can't have bright smile, it will face to the sunshine, and sunshine smile together, in full bloom.

A Lifelong Career【

As food is to the body, so is learning to the mind. Our bodies grow and muscles develop with the intake of adequate nutritious food. Likewise, we should keep learning day by day to maintain our keen mental power and expand our intellectual capacity. Constant learning supplies us with inexhaustible fuel for driving us to sharpen our power of reasoning, analysis, and judgment. Learning incessantly is the surest way to keep pace with the times in the information age, and an infallible warrant of success in times of uncertainty.

Once learning stops, vegetation sets in. It is a common fallacy to regard school as the only workshop for the acquisition of knowledge. On the contrary, learning should be a never-ending process, from the cradle to the grave. With the world ever changing so fast, the cease from learning for just a few days will make a person lag behind. What's worse, the animalistic instinct dormant deep in our subconsciousness will come to life, weakening our will to pursue our noble ideal, sapping our determination to sweep away obstacles to our success and strangling our desire for the refinement of our character. Lack of learning will inevitably lead to the stagnation of the mind, or even worse, its fossilization, Therefore, to stay mentally young, we have to take learning as a lifelong career.

1、When you love who you are,you become a conduit of drop into your heart space, and live life from this all of this doing is not who you to your heart’s soft whisper, this voice will show you the life from your essence is what she will the light in yourself, and your world will be is no need to worry, you are exactly as you should be;remember to love who you are,and love you will see.

2、heavy shoolwork【

In my opinion, the schoolwork now being assigned to high school students is too heavy. While it is true that students need to study, they need other things as well if they are to grow into healthy and well-rounded adults. High should be allowed more time for play. Plying is not wasting time, as some think. It gives them physical exercise, and also exercise their imagination. Which tends to be stifled by too much study. Finally, the pressure put on high school students by excessive schoolwork can cause serious stress, which is unhealthy physically and mentally. I do not advocate the elimination of schoolwork. I do think, however, that a reduction of the current heavy load would be beneficial to students and to the society as a whole.

Attraction of Creeks Nearly everybody has a creek in his or her past, a secret waterway where one spent the spring of one’s youth. An old man’s voice weakens as he talks of a boyhood creek in Louisian where he swam and fished. A woman feels suddenly at home again as she remembers catching fish in the creek behind her parents’ house. My creek wound between Grandfather’s garden and a neighbor’s hillside pasture. Its banks were shaded by cottonwood3 and redwood trees. On hot summer days the clear and cold water flowed over the little beaches where I fished. Nothing historic ever happened in these creeks, but they are deep in memory. These creeks are bigger than they seem. They are a part of our hearts and minds more than powerful rivers. While rivers are heavy, creeks are clear, innocent, lively and full of dreams and A child can paddle across them without a parent’s warnings. You can go to it alone, catch fish in it and swing from the ropes along its banks. Creeks belong to childhood, drawing you into a wider world, teaching you the curve of the earth. Poet Robert Frost once wrote: It flows between us, over us and with us. And it is time, strength, tone, light, life and love. Be Thankful Be Thankful that you don't already have everything you desire. If you did, what would there be to look forward to? September —in its own time, at its own pace —begins with the closing of the summer. With September we begin to feel the autumn. It creeps in on misty dawns and disappears on hot afternoons. duanwenw It creeps into the treetops and the leaves, then rides a tuft of thistledown across the valley and away. It sits on a hilltop and cries like an October owl in the dusk. It plays with the wind. September is like a busy squirrel in a tree, and sometimes like a lazy river. It is summer’s ripeness and richness that brought to a sweet September. Some of the rarest days of the year e in September, fortably cool but pulsing with life, with clear and clean skies, duanwenw pure air and wind free of dust. The fields still *** ell of the sweetness of cut grass. September’s flowers are less varied than those of the spring, but so abundant that they make September a second May. The goldenrod, flowering by mid-August, reaches its peak of golden abundance in early September. Late thistles show their purple everywhere, and asters4 blossom along the roadsides, in meadows, on hilltops, even in cities. We think of spring as the time of miracles, but September is also a lasting wonder.

He asked, who would like this $20 bill. Hands started going up. He said, "I'm going to give this $20 to one of you, but first, let me do this." He proceeded to crumple(弄皱) the $20 note up. He then asked, "who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air. "Well," he replied, "what if I do this?" He dropped it on the ground, and started to ground into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now, crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air. "My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson no matter what I did to the money, you still want it. Because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20." Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make, and circumstances that come away. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what happened, or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finally creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worst of your lives comes not in what we do, or who we know, but by who we are. You are special. Don't ever forget it. Love your mother Let us take a moment of the time just to pay tribute and show appreciation to the person called MOM though some may not say it openly to their mother. There's no substitute for her. Cherish every single moment. Though at times she may not be the best of friends, she may not agree to our thoughts, she is still your mother! Your mother will be there for you, to listen to your woes your brags your frustrations, etc. Ask yourself "Have you put aside enough time for her, to listen to her 'blues' of working in the kitchen, her tiredness?" Be tactful, loving and still show her due respect, though you may have a different view from hers. Once gone, only fond memories of the past and also regrets will be left. Do not take for granted the things closest to your heart. Love her more than you love yourself. Life is meaningless without her. Mum and growing days Those Teenage Years When you were 11 years old, she took you and your friends to the different movies. You thanked her by asking to sit in a row. When you were 12 years old, she warned you not to watch certain TV shows. You thanked her by waiting until she left the house. When you were 13, she suggested a haircut that was becoming. You thanked her by telling her she had no taste. When you were 14, she paid for a month away at summer camp. You thanked her by forgetting to write a single letter. When you were 15, she came home from work, looking for a hug. You thanked her by having your bedroom door locked. When you were 16, she taught you how to drive her car. You thanked her by taking it every chance you could. When you were 17, she was expecting an important call. You thanked her by being on the phone all night. When you were 18, she cried at your high school graduation. You thanked her by staying out partying until dawn. When you were 19, she paid for your college tuition, drove you to campus, carried your bags. You thanked her by saying good-bye outside the dorm so you wouldn't be embarrassed in front of your friends. When you were 20, she asked whether you were seeing anyone. You thanked her by saying, "It's none of your business."

The expensive shops in a famous arcade near Piccadilly were just opening. At this time of the morning, the arcade was almost empty. Mr Taylor, the owner of a jewellery shop was admiring a new window display. Two of his assistants had been working busily since 8 o'clock and had only just finished. Diamond necklaces and rings had been beautifully arranged on a background of black velvet. After gazing at the display for several minutes, Mr Taylor went back into his shop.

The silence was suddenly broken when a large car, with its headlights on and its horn blaring, roared down the arcade. It came to a stop outside the jeweler's. One man stayed at the wheel while two others with black stockings over their faces jumped out and smashed the window of the shop with iron bars. While this was going on, Mr Taylor was upstairs. He and his staff began throwing furniture out of the window. Chairs and tables went flying into the arcade. One of the thieves was struck by a heavy statue, but he was too busy helping himself to diamonds to notice any pain. The raid was all over in three minutes, for the men scrambled back into the car and it moved off at a fantastic speed. Just as it was leaving, Mr Taylor rushed out and ran after it throwing ashtrays and vases, but it was impossible to stop the thieves. They had got away with thousands of pounds worth of diamonds.

Yesterday afternoon Frank Hawkins was telling me about his experiences as a young man. Before he retired, Frank was the head of a very large business company, but as a boy he used to work in a small shop. It was his job to repair bicycles and at that time he used to work fourteen hours a day. He saved money for years and in 1958 he bought a small workshop of his own. In his twenties Frank used to make spare parts for aeroplanes. At that time he had two helpers. In a few years the small workshop had become a large factory which employed seven hundred and twenty-eight people. Frank smiled when he remembered his hard early years and the long road to success. He was still smiling when the door opened and his wife came in. She wanted him to repair their grandson's bicycle!

Nearly a week passed before the girl was able to explain what had happened to her. One afternoon she set out from the coast in a small boat and was caught in a storm. Towards evening, the boat struck a rock and the girl jumped into the sea. Then she swam to the shore after spending the whole night in the water. During that time she covered a distance of eight miles. Early next morning, she saw a light ahead. She knew she was near the shore because the light was high up on the cliffs. On arriving at the shore, the girl struggled up the cliff towards the light she had seen. That was all she remembered. When she woke up a day later, she found herself in hospital.

When love beckons to you, follow him, though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him, though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you. And when he speaks to you believe in him, though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.

For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning. Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun, so shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth.

Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself.

He threshes you to make you naked.

He sifts you to free you from your husks.

He grinds you to whiteness.

He kneads you until you are pliant;

And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God’s sacred feast.

All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life’s heart.

But if in your fear you would seek only love’s peace and love’s pleasure, then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love’s threshing-floor, into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears.

Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself. Love possesses not nor would it be possessed, for love is sufficient unto love.

The photo album worn and old is sitting on the pile. She flips the cover open just to reminisce awhile. On the first page there she is, a baby in her lap, her son when he was one year old; she smiles as she thinks back. That was taken in the park where she took him to play. Funny how it sometimes seems like only yesterday. But other times it seems those days are distant memories. And all we have reminding us are pictures such as these.

She sees a picture of him with his second birthday cake, and smiles as she remembers of the face that he would make. When trying to blow out the candles he would have a fit. He tried so hard to blow them out but they would all stay lit. So Mom came to the rescue with a waving of her hand. The same time that he blew on it she waved a little fan. She smiles as she thinks back at all the things when he first tried, when she would lend a helping hand and then just step aside.

She sees a picture of him standing holding his first bike, and smiles when thinking how he said, “It’s harder than a trike.’’ But she would run behind him holding on while he would ride, until he got his balance and then she would step aside.

She turns the page and sees a picture when he was in school, remembering he used to say that it was not so cool to have your mother waiting for the school bus at your side. So when the bus would get in sight, she quickly stepped aside.

She goes on through the album like a trip down through the years, and as she goes from page to page her eyes start forming tears. All through his life she stood by him in everything he tried, until he could do it alone and then she stepped aside. But even though she stepped aside she was always near, with a mother’s worried heart and with a mother’s fear, knowing that a day would come when life would have a plan for her little boy who now has grown to be a man.

She closes up the album and looks at the fireplace. She sees his picture on the mantel4 with his smiling face. Called to active duty and he’s serving now with pride. And once again with worried heart, she had to step aside.

To solve any problem or to reach your goal, you don’t need to know all the answers in advance. But you must have a clear idea of the problem or the goal you want to reach.

All you have to do is know where you’re going. The answers will come to you of their own accord. Don’t procrastinate when faced with a big difficult problem. Break the problem into parts, and handle one part at a time.

If you can get up the courage to begin, you have the courage to succeed. It’s the job you never start that takes the longest to finish. Don’t worry about what lies dimly at a distance, but do what lies clearly ahead.

Your biggest opportunity is where you are right now. Once you begin you’re half done.

In 1963 a Lancaster bomber crashed on Wallis Island, a remote place in the South Pacific, a long way west of Samoa. The plane wasn't too badly damaged, but over the years, the crash was forgotten and the wreck remained undisturbed. Then in 1989, twenty-six years after the crash, the plane was accidentally rediscovered in an aerial survey of the island. By this time, a Lancaster bomber in reasonable condition was rare and worth rescuing. The French authorities had the plane packaged and moved in parts back to France. Now a group of enthusiasts are going to have the plane restored. It has four Rolls-Royce Merlin engines, but the group will need to have only three of them rebuilt. Last Christmas, the circus owner, Jimmy Gates, decided to take some presents to a children's hospital. Dressed up as Father Christmas and accompanied by a 'guard of honour' of six pretty girls, he set off down the main street of the city riding a baby elephant called Jumbo. He should have known that the police would never allow this sort of thing. A policeman approached Jimmy and told him he ought to have gone along a side street as Jumbo was holding up the traffic. Though Jimmy agreed to go at once, Jumbo refused to move. Fifteen policemen had to push very hard to get him off the main street. The police had a difficult time, but they were most amused. 'Jumbo must weigh a few tons,' said a policeman afterwards, 'so it was fortunate that we didn't have to carry him. Of course, we should arrest him, but as he has a good record, we shall let him off this time.'

In 1858, a French engineer, Aime Thome de Gamond, arrived in England with a plan for a twenty-one-mile tunnel under the English Channel. He said that it would be possible to build a platform in the centre of the Channel. This platform would serve as a port and a railway station. The tunnel would be well-ventilated if tall chimneys were built above sea level. In 1860, a better plan was put forward by an Englishman, William Low. He suggested that a double railway-tunnel should be built. This would solve the problem of ventilation, for if a train entered this tunnel, it would draw in fresh air behind it. Forty-two years later a tunnel was actually begun. If, at the time, the British had not feared invasion, it would have been completed. The world had to wait almost another 100 years for the Channel Tunnel. It was officially opened on March 7,1994, finally connecting Britain to the European continent.
