高职院校专业英语教学模式的创新

摘要:培养高素质的技术人才在教学中就必须实施教学创新,职业学校英语教育教学模式也必须不断创新和完善。论文分析了高职专业英语教学的现状,简述了现场教学模式在沈阳职业技术学院的应用情况,并给出了在工商管理系的英语课中采用现场教学的案例。案例证明现场教学模式教学效果良好,现场教学模式具有在高职专业英语中推广的价值。

  一.高职专业英语教学的现状
  随着各普通高校的大量扩招,英语较好的学生进入了重点院校,而英语一般的学生进入了一般院校,而那些英语不好的则流入了高职院校。大部分学生英语基础较薄弱,而且水平亦参差不齐,学习的目的较盲目,对学生不感兴趣,学习没有动力。因此在英语教学中多数教师觉得不是很得心应手,教学效果不能令人十分满意,学生所掌握的英语知识、技能也是不如人意。专业英语的教学不应当再采用“语言分析+ 英汉翻译”的教学方法,因为它与专业英语的教学要求不相适应。这就要求英语教育教学模式就要求同生产紧密结合。高职英语教学模式必须在教育思想、教学内容、课程设置、教学方法诸方面探索新的思路和理论。
  二.理论依据
  高职高专英语在理论上被界定为专门用途英语(esp)分支下,介于学术英语(eap)与职业英语(eop)之间的业务用途英语(epp)。
  根据高职教育的人才培养目标,提出建构“以职业英语能力发展为中心”的教学模式,提高高职学生的专业英语应用能力,实现高职专业英语课程教学目标与社会需求的“零距离”对接,对高职院校的专业英语教学有着重大的意义。
  三.英语教育新的教学模式
  所谓现场教学,模拟真实场合,为学生提供真实的学习情境,设计活泼与多元化且具创意的学习活动利用合作学习做为教学活动模式等特性,提升教学效益与学习成效。在教学现场中实现从模仿、借鉴到实际应用,依托实训室,学生在这里可以完成相关的设计、编制相关的情境。在实践性教学方面为学生的实践教学提供了良好的平台和广阔的空间。给学生提供了实习实践机会,通过真实案例的接触,提高其应用和创新等能力。
  我们为此自编了5本校本教材,分别应用于机械系、电器系、计算机系、工商管理系、商贸旅游系。而所谓现场教学就是让学生走出教室,在实训室进行教学,各系实训要求各有不同,以便学生能够提高英语运用能力,能够翻译英文资料,在涉外交际的日常活动中进行交流,并为今后走上工作岗位打下基础。
  四.现场教学案例
  下面以沈阳职业技术学院工商管理系07级国贸01班的现场教学案例来说明现场教学的方法和效果。教学方法采用项目教学法。

  introduction and requirement:
  according to quotation on unit three of business management english .i give them a goods named sweater, and they must make the quotation clearly and correctly. which should be including quantities, quality, price, color, packing, brand, commission, terms of payment, terms of transport and so on. such are some useful expressions they must include: fob/ cif/ c& f, l/c.

  step: i give students for about two groups in class d201,sitting there in circle,each of them can make negotiation with their partner voluntary. some of them are two, some of them are four. first i give them 15minutes to prepare, and then begin.

  let students collect information about how to make an offer.
  3. research, discussion, the content
  1).ask them find out the english words involved
  2).questions they discuss:
  a: english words involved :quotation, market, quote, commission, productsfob/ cif/ c& f, l/c. and so on.
  what is fob? what is cif? and what is the difference?
  “free on board” means that the seller fulfills his obligation to deliver when the goods have passed over the ship’s rail at the named port of shipment. this means that the buyer has to bear all costs and risks of loss of or damage to the goods from that point.
  clue: you must know what is your offer? so you must have something first. then you should know what are an offer involved. such as quantities, quality, price, color, packing, brand, commission, terms of payment, terms of transport and so on
  效果:
  effect: the student zhao wenlong and the three students acted very good, just like in the real situation. two bosses from two different companies. each boss has a secretary, at the beginning, they greet each other, shaking hands each other, two bosses speak just like the real bosses, very humorous. students burst out laughing now and then. everyone has a chance to practice their oral english and their courage which prepared for their future work..
  storage:
   students act still like a student, a quiet voice, in a low head, feel a little bit nervous. but i think they will conquer the shyness and have confidence at the end of this term.
  2. some students’ dialogues are a little bit rough, just as assignments, but if you studied carefully, you would find out they are lack of details.
  五.结论
  现场教学有利于提高学生的实际运用能力,较适合二产三产的工商管理系的各专业,各系应该结合自己本系的特点,掌握的知识的不同,运用能力的区别进行专项训练。适合有一定基础的学生。但现场教学过程中,应注意学生的纪律需要教师对课堂的适当监控。
  如果我们坚持用现场教学来学习英语,学生的实际应用能力会大大提高。
