The film, directed by Robert Zemeckis, stars Tom Hanks, Robin Wright Penn, and Gary Sinise. The film tells the story of Forrest Gump's epic journey through life meeting historical figures, influencing popular culture, and experiencing firsthand historic events of the late 20th century while being largely unaware of their significance, owing to his borderline mental film differs substantially from Winston Groom's novel on which it was based. Filming took place in late 1993, mainly in Georgia and North and South Carolina. Extensive visual effects were used to incorporate the protagonist into archived footage as well as for developing other scenes. Forrest picks up the feather and puts it in the book Curious George, then tells the story of his life to a woman seated next to him. The listeners at the bus stop change regularly throughout his narration, each showing a different attitude ranging from disbelief and indifference to rapt his first day of school, he meets a girl named Jenny Curran, whose life is followed in parallel to Forrest's at times. Despite his below-average intelligence quotient (IQ), his ability to run at great speed gets him into college on a football scholarship. After his college graduation, he enlists in the army, where he makes friends with a black man named Bubba, who convinces Forrest to go into the shrimping business with him when the war is over. They are sent to Vietnam, and during an ambush, Bubba is killed in action. Forrest ends up saving much of his platoon, including his platoon leader, Second Lieutenant Dan Taylor, who loses both his legs as a result of injuries. Forrest is awarded the Medal of Honor for his Forrest is in recovery for a shot to his buttocks, he discovers his uncanny ability for ping-pong, eventually gaining popularity and rising to celebrity status, later playing ping-pong competitively against Chinese teams in ping pong diplomacy. Forest witnesses Jenny being slapped across the face by her boyfriend. This angers him, but Jenny convinces him to not hurt the home, Forrest endorses a company that makes ping-pong paddles, earning himself $25,000, which he uses to buy a shrimping boat, fulfilling his promise to Bubba. Dan joins Forrest, and although they initially have little success, after finding their boat the only surviving one in the area after Hurricane Carmen, they begin to pull in huge amounts of shrimp. They use their income to buy an entire fleet of shrimp boats. Dan invests the money in Apple Computer and Forrest is financially secure for the rest of his life, and also donates a large portion of money to Bubba's family. He returns home to see his mother's last day, Jenny returns to visit Forrest and he proposes marriage to her. She declines, though feels obliged to prove her love to him by having sex with him. She leaves early the next morning. On a whim, Forrest elects to go for a run. Seemingly capriciously, he decides to keep running across the country several times, over three and a half years, becoming famous in the present-day, Forrest reveals that he is waiting at the bus stop because he received a letter from Jenny who, having seen him run on television, asks him to visit her. Once he is reunited with Jenny, she introduces him to his son, also named Forrest. Jenny tells Forrest she is suffering from a virus (probably HIV, though this is never definitively stated).[2][3][4] Together the three move back to Greenbow, Alabama. Jenny and Forrest finally marry but she dies soon film ends with father and son waiting for the school bus on little Forrest's first day of school. Absolutely in other’s view,nobody wouldn’t think like that way but you don’t feel a little strange at is always bad matters happen to you in your life,but when it comes to you,just think as Gump,it is simply a piece of over it with a :——Are you stupid or something?(你是傻了还是怎么啦?)——Stupid is what stupid does.(傻人做傻事，傻人有傻福.)阿甘嘴里面的经典.通常情况是我们每个人都会在自己的立场上设想对方的情境,捕虾不是件简单活,所以当阿甘拿出他做乒乓球拍广告代言人赚来的$2,5000买捕虾船的时候,人家认为他是脑子进水.可是,谁会想到阿甘最后用这一条船打拼出来了属于自己的事业呢.Another famous remark from Gump. Always we suppose other’s situation from the point of view of our own .Shrimping is not a easy job ,and then when Gump pay his $2,5000 money earned as a Ping-Pong paddles endorser (乒乓球拍代言人)to buy a shrimping boat ,an old man think this guy must be stupid or something .But at last ,who knows that it prove to be Gump’s first bucket of gold and lead to a huge business :电影里面自然有夸张的部分,不过,阿甘3年连续不断打造出来的长跑冠军形象给我印象很深.不需要任何理由,执着地做一件事情,一坚持就是3年.我们经常说”某某某,做到这样不简单哪!”指的就是阿甘那一类人.因此,每次当我跑步累到想放弃的时候,总会把自己想象成Gump,坚持一下,你可以完成目标的.I accept that every movie has exaggerated some parts of its contents ,but the image of long-term runner Gump leaves me a particularly deep impression .He insists on running for 3-years with no reason .In the words of view from chinese “Hey,this unusual guy is doing a marvelous deed .”So, every time when I feel tired to quit running ,I always think of Gump.”Just keep on doing ,you will make it.”6:其实这一点是我没参透懂的地方.电影的开头和结尾都出现了一根伴随音乐出现的羽毛.音乐很美,电影的设计也很巧.从开始的从天而降到Gump的脚下被Gump收藏到书里面再到送完小Gump上校车后,羽毛又从书里面飘出来飞向天空,你不得不佩服制片人这样的场景安排.妙不可言.It is something I don’t understang well . The film begins with a feather falling to the feet of Forrest Gump who is sitting at a bus stop narrativing Stories and ends with the feather drifting skyward after seeing off little Forrest boarding on the school is more,the accompanying background music sounds have to admire the movie producer that they have an imaginable mind to design such an amazing scene which arouse you thinking.其他值得关注的东西还有很多,像电影本身就相当于美国90年代时期的历史一样,里面贯穿了很多的历史性片段.比如“越南战争” “猫王” “尼克松水门事件” “中美乒乓球外交” “黑人维权运动” “肯尼迪枪击案”等等.Of course there are quite a lot of other significance deserve to follow ,like the movie itself seems to experiencing firsthand historic events of the late 20th century while being largely unaware of their significance .Gump encounters many historical figures and events throughout his life ,such as “The Vietnam War”,“The Hillbilly Cat”,“Ping-Pong diplomacy”“Blacks Civil Rights Movement” ,“The Kennedy Assassination” and so on.如果你还没看过这部电影,推荐你一定看看;如果你看过这部电影,闲暇或者忙碌的时候把生活的脚步停下来,看一看阿甘,然后想一想自己,你便可以一直前进.If you have yet to see this movie ,strongly recommend you with it,if you have seen it before ,slow down your pace no matter you are busy or free ,think of Gump for a while then yourself .You will get the courage to move on.
