The title of my paper is On the Significance of Drama Method in the Improvement of English Learning in Chinese Rural Junior High School. I choose this as my topic due to the following reasons. First of all, I really want to be a teacher, so during the four years, I have read many books about how to become a good teacher. Secondly, when I was a freshman in the summer of 2008, I was chosen as a teaching assistant of the summer camp which was organized by the New Oriental English School in Shijiazhuang. In the summer camp, I rewrote a script of an English drama to be one of the programs of the open ceremony. It was very popular among those students. They thought it was very interesting. In 2010, I was practiced as an English teacher at Chenguantun Middle School in Qinhuangdao, I found that the students have little interest towards English learning, so I hoped I could help them. So I use the Drama Method as my teaching method. Almost all of the students were highly motivated by the interesting teaching method and they have made great progress in the exam one month later. The third to fifth parts focus on three types of ambiguity in English and Chinese: phonological ambiguity, lexical ambiguity, syntactic ambiguity. In every broad type, I respectively list some detailed branches and cite some vivid English and Chinese examples to explain these ambiguity phenomena. But I put more focus on the third part and point out two differences of ambiguity between English ambiguity and Chinese ambiguity.
The part six will point out positive results by using ambiguity deliberately in daily conversations, advertisements and literary works.
The last part is the conclusion.
I hope by this contrastive research, we will have a better understanding of ambiguity in English and Chinese and apply it to our life and study.

The title of my paper is On the Significance of Drama Method in the Improvement of English Learning in Chinese Rural Junior High School. I choose this as my topic due to the following reasons. First of all, I really want to be a teacher, so during the four years, I have read many books about how to become a good teacher. Secondly, when I was a freshman in the summer of 2008, I was chosen as a teaching assistant of the summer camp which was organized by the New Oriental English School in Shijiazhuang. In the summer camp, I rewrote a script of an English drama to be one of the programs of the open ceremony. It was very popular among those students. They thought it was very interesting. 一、选题是重中之重

虽然我们常说写论文，其实论文的关键不在于写，而在于思考，在于有好的思想，好的思想的建立就是从选题开始的。选题是选择有前沿性的、自己感兴趣的好题目，因为做一个好题目和一个坏题目所花费的时间是没有太大差别的，都要查文献、搜数据、做分析，而好坏题目的意义是完全不同的。在此次论文中，我虽做出了能让人耳目一新的东西，但所选的方向毕竟有些窄，不太前沿，所以我答辩之前一直信心不足，即使是现在心里也仍有遗憾。所以，选题是至关重要的，选题阶段就应阅读大量的参考文献，投入大量的时间，这个时间的付出一定是值得的，事半功倍的。
二、理论是根基
之前我总以为，理论部分是最容易写的，这部分不像绪论那样要自己总结梳理，也不像实证部分那样要自己搜集数据进行验证，理论总是要借鉴别人的，借鉴便少不了复制与粘贴。这种错误的思想使我在论文写作中走了不少弯路，理论部分洋洋洒洒写了不少，但导师总不能满意：一般概念性常识性的东西不能要，因为这会降低论文水平，太深奥的本篇论文没用到的东西不能要，因为和下文无关，同时还应保证这部分内容的篇幅，并对下文的创新点有铺垫。为此，我有很长一段时间都在找理论，甚至是在文章完成初稿之后我的理论部分还有许多不完善的地方。常理来讲，理论是支撑，是根基，是首先要明确的，而我却本末倒置了，所以每修改一次理论，整篇论文都要从头到尾修正一遍，花费了不少功夫。幸运的是，最终我寻找到了一个切入点，把论文的理论与实证有机地结合了起来，这本应在开题或论文初期完成的工作，我却在论文中后期才做完。事后我常在想，还好这次写的只是硕士论文，篇幅不算大，内容不算深，还算好对付，若是博士论文，我头两年肯定是白念的了。
此次硕士论文使我深刻地体会到理论部分的书写绝不是复制粘贴那样简单，理论部分在论文中起着支柱性的重要作用：理论错了，所有的实证都将没有意义;理论浅了，整篇论文的档次就下来了。选用哪个理论，着重用这个理论的哪部分，理论和实证如何衔接，这些直接关系到论文的质量。硕士论文是一个系统的过程，理论和研究内容相对应，研究内容和研究方法相对应，前后呼应，一环扣一环，理论便是这个链条的第一个环，是整个论文的根基。
理论部分一定要扣题，扣准创新点，对下文有支撑。下文要用到的详写，用得不多的略写，没用到的在不影响整体连贯性的情况下便可不写，以保证文章的紧凑简明清晰。
三、软件仅仅是工具
我是理科生，理科生都有个通病——钻。我总以为自己擅长数学，所以每次做统计题都会很兴奋，也愿意死抠一些统计软件的原理，不弄懂不罢休。对于学习知识来说，这种精神是可贵的，而对于管理学论文写作来说，这就有些过犹不及了。研一学习的统计课程由于是一门重要的考试课，再加上软件中的许多东西对当时的我来说是陌生的，所以投入了很大的时间和热情来研究为什么要这么操作，这样操作反映了怎样的统计原理。这种思维惯性延续到了做论文期间，我的思路总是“跑偏”，花了时间研究软件是怎样运行的，却改变不了任何统计结果，我成为了一堆数据的玩偶，被数据搞得晕头转向。以至于到最后每要开始研究一个问题，我都要逼着自己事先问一下，这个对论文的书写到底有没有用，若没有，便pass掉，因为时间真得是有限的。
此次论文使我明白，在硕士论文写作中，对统计软件的掌握重在应用，而不是弄懂其原理，虽然在课程学习阶段我们花费了大量的时间在这方面，但它们不决定论文的实质性内容，而只是辅助。尤其是在时间和精力有限的情况下，更应灵活地进行时间分配，分清轻重缓急。软件是一种工具，就像是物理实验中的仪器一样，虽然有误差，但不影响结果分析，至于为什么有这种误差，不是论文重点研究的内容。
硕士论文对统计方法的要求相对简单，而博士论文也许就不这样容易了。博士论文又提高了一个档次，我想对统计知识的要求应该也高一个水平，自己以后还应深入掌握。
四、常与老师沟通
在这一点上，我自己做得还有不足，我不是很经常地去找老师沟通，尤其是在论文初期，老师帮我选好题后我就再也没找过他。我总以为自己的思想还不成熟，不知道与老师谈些什么，而我的导师也不是很善谈、能调动别人情绪的那种(除了喝酒的时候，呵呵)。所以，我每次找导师都是因为大事要来了，比如中期、结题。中期时与导师沟通了一次，导师没有提什么意见，因为那个时候我做出的东西还是四分五裂的。在这篇论文上，与导师有实质性的沟通是我完成初稿之后。我初稿完成的比较快，5月中旬就完成了，这样导师有充分的时间给我修改，因为我们6月底才答辩。导师对我的论文逐字逐句地进行了修改，从结构到语言，从理论到实证都提出了中肯的意见，并且导师提出的大都是些关键性的问题，这对我的论文有着很大的指导作用。
与自己的导师进行沟通是必须的，与其他老师，尤其是开题、中期、结题时答辩组的老师进行沟通也是非常必要的。因为论文不像是数学题，答案是固定明确的，论文中的观点是仁者见仁智者见智的。不同的老师会从不同的角度提出不同层面的问题，这对论文写作是有很大帮助的。因为，往往作者在论文写作中会产生一些盲点和思维惯性，束缚着新东西的产生，而不同老师的意见可以促进我们不断产生新的想法，使论文不断完善。我在中期和结题之后都会主动地找评阅老师，请老师详细地为我讲讲他们的意见，以保证我在下面的书写中不要走错路子。
值得注意的是，与老师沟通并不意味着完全听从老师的，一定要坚持自己的观点，老师的意见大都是建议性的，而关键还在于自己，因为是我们在做论文，而不是老师在做。
五、其他
论文写作中还有一些应注意的'小问题，不好一一详细整理，就都归纳在其他里吧。比如，参考文献一定要阅读好期刊上的文章，因为做研究是承前启后的，站在巨人的肩膀上才能看得远;论文写作过程中，用日期为每天的论文命名，这样可以看到论文的进展情况，使自己有成就感;适当地用图和表，四五万字的论文让读者一看很容易发怵，而适当地图表可以使读者醒目地看到作者的思路和观点;注重格式，虽说格式不影响论文的实质内容，但它是论文的面子，是作者工作态度的体现，在这种稍微细心一点就能做好的工作上一定不要出现差错;有了想法及时书写，不拖拉，有些想法是转瞬即逝的，所以有了好的点子应马上记下来，等积攒多了，也许就会是个大的创新点，并且写论文是会上瘾的，最初要逼着自己有这种瘾，待上了道之后速战速决，完成书写;正确对待PPT，PPT不是要上台念的，而是要讲出来，并且做PPT的过程也是作者梳理思路的过程;答辩之前做好准备，对自己提问，大胆猜测老师们会问些什么问题，自己应怎么做答，有充足的准备才会有十足的信心。

2、选好题目

4.遵照论文模板，调整论文格式，进一步完善论文内容，提交终稿。

一、论文选题
确定指导小组和学生名单后，就召集学生就论文选题和她们进行第一次交
流。了解每组的初步选题意向，为避免选题雷同，对选题类似的小组题目进行调整，给与建议，并对他们的命题给与微调，使之更加符合论文题目范式。比如，有两组题目均为“如何成为一名优秀的空乘人员”，有的选题过于笼统，范围太大，没有针对性，比如有的题目为“民航投诉处理”，首先，该题目选题太笼统，第二不符合论文的题目范式，在指导下，调整为“飞机客舱服务中乘客投诉原因及对策研究”。确定各组选题后，进一步明确其论文写作所完成的进度安排、框架编写、资料搜集等工作。并收集学生的联系方式，确定小组负责人，便于沟通交流。
二、开题指导
确定选题后，学生准备开题报告书，包括严格的论文写作进程和论文提纲，我仔细审阅了每组的论文框架，给学生提出意见，尽力让论文逻辑严谨，有创新性，并为学生日后职业发展具备实际应用意义。学生第一次写论文，对框架把握不准，因此出现很多问题，比如，思路不清晰、逻辑结构混乱等。例如：浅析航班延误引发的旅客心理问题与服务路径探析一文中，只是简单罗列了航班延误的各种原因，而没有深入的分析及解决途径，因此，指导学生改为

三、初稿修改
开题后，各组成员分别搜集、整理资料，进行调研，再全组分析、整合数据和资料，着手撰写论文，论文结构包括封面、目录、摘要、正文、参考文献几个重要组成部分，其中摘要和正文为核心内容。
初稿修改主要针对以下问题：
1、摘要的撰写，学生不清楚如何提炼摘要，往往错把它当做前言介绍，而忽视对全文框架主旨的提炼。
2、内容单薄，论据不充分。学生陈述简单，一般来源于理论知识，而主观逻辑思想较少，没有创新性和深入性。比如，仅是给出案例，缺乏案例的具体分析。
3、结构不完整。结语、参考文献和致谢是论文的有机组成部分，但很多论文缺少这几部分。
四、二稿修改
经过修改完善后，学生提交了论文二稿，对以前指出的问题都一一更正。框架及内容逻辑性较强。但仍存在一些问题，比如参考文献的格式，以及作者、出版社、时间的顺序的规范写法;标题及正文的字号、段落的行距等。同时，因为这个时间正是大家顶岗实习的阶段，因此建议学生可在相关论文中增加实习心得。
五、终稿审核
经过几轮的修改，各小组论文都已经较完善，内容充实。但提交的终稿还是有一些格式问题，以及摘要的英文翻译不够准确，对于以上问题，都逐一指出，要求学生在做最后的修改，并定稿。同时，对于即将开始的答辩，给与指导，督促学生做好答辩准备。
六、答辩总结
20xx年4月27日，本人和蒋玲俐老师作为旅空0932班的答辩评委，组织16个论文小组，共计50名同学进行答辩。答辩程序如下：
1.小组成员介绍：1分钟
2.组长阐述小组实践报告：3分钟(主要包括主题、论点、论据、结论以及文章的创新之处等)
3.老师提问：4分钟(就学生实践报告或其实习体验进行即兴提问，由小组成员共同完成)
要求学生使用英语进行答辩，根据学生的论文及实践报告进行即兴提问。并根据口语流畅度、观点是否正确、条理及表述的清晰度、是否经实践检验四个方面评分。各个小组均按照要求顺利完成答辩，其中以王佳、赵琼及唐翰林这个小组表现突出，他们的论文题目是《如何培养空乘人员良好的心理素质》，论文内容阐述清晰，口语流畅，唐翰林同学已经被海南航空公司录用为空乘人员，因此，他结合切身的岗位体验和真实案例，作为论据来阐述心理素质的重要性及如何培养良好的心理素质。同学们在答辩过程中也存在如下问题：口语不够流畅，语法错误较多;阐述过程重点不突出;没有很好的与实践紧密结合进行论述。
目前，所有学生已经顺利通过答辩，为大学生活交上了一份圆满的'答卷。其中一篇论文还获得优秀论文，3名学生提名为优秀实习生。论文指导的过程，作为指导教师，我也收获很多，对专业知识有了更全面的了解，尤其是对行业的发展动态及前沿信息，有了更好的把握，对今后的教学以及专业工作起到了极大的推动作用。
