2020年度，The New England Journal of Medicine, NEJM（新英格兰医学杂志）的影响因子，以 ，位列第三。
The Lancet（柳叶刀）排名第五，影响因子为，在新冠疫情期间最为活跃的老牌医学顶刊之一。LANCET 近年来总体呈持续上升态势。
除 NEJM 和 The Lancet 之外，Journal of the American Medical Association, JAMA（美国医学会杂志）表现也不错，以 的影响因子排名第 13。JAMA 近年来总体呈持续增长态势，2013年以来一直处于稳步增长的趋势。
BMJ 相比四大的前三者，虽然多年来一直追赶之势，但仍然没能和它们并驾齐驱，分值有较大差距。今年影响因子为，排名36。
一般来说做基础研究的发表CNS就很牛逼了，也就是cell nature science。当然临床研究以NEMJ JAMA BMJ和lancet这四本期刊为首，分别是新英格兰、美国医师协会杂志、英国医师学会杂志和柳叶刀。
