This paper uses a TypeXJP-3 metallographic microscope, HV-100 microhardness tester, ZEISS opticalmicroscope, impact tester and other analytical instruments, fully investigatesthe microstructure and integrated mechanical properties, such as tissuestiffness, impact toughness of the high chromium cast iron after heat treatmentprocess. The experimental results obtained show that the high-chromium castiron after heat treatment has superior integrated mechanical properties, suchas hardness, impact toughness, than those of non-treated one, mainly due to thephenomenon that most fraction of the material tissue of the high-chromium cast iron after heat treatment hasbecome martensite matrix substrate from austenite, thereby having less austeniteand increasing the hardness of high chromium cast iron tissue, also improvingthe morphology of eutectic carbides, weakening the cutting and destructing between the matrix organization, thereby decreasing the fracture of the matrix tissue and increasing the impact toughness of high chromium cast iron. The microstructures obtained using heat treatment process are less different, consisting of martensite + carbide + austenite, whose ingredients are different. When the original primary austenite is heated, the effect of quenching will decomposecertain secondary carbide, and the precipitation amount of the secondarycarbides is significantly affected by different quenching temperatures. As known from experimental analysis comparison, as the quenching temperature rises, thedecomposition amount of secondary carbides is decreasing gradually, but the particles becomes coarse gradually; when the quenching temperature decreases, the effect is reversed compared with above.

高铬铸铁是高铬白口抗磨铸铁的简称,是一种性能优良而受到特别重视的抗磨材料。它以比合金钢高得多的耐磨性,和比一般白口铸铁高得多的韧性、强度,同时它还兼有良好的抗高温和抗腐蚀性能,加之生产便捷、成本适中,而被誉为当代最优良的抗磨料磨损材料之一。高铬铸铁属金属耐磨材料、抗磨铸铁类铬系抗磨铸铁的一个重要分支,是继普通白口铸铁、镍硬铸铁而发展起来的第三代白口铸铁。早在1917年就出现了第一个高铬铸铁专利。高铬铸铁一般泛指含Cr量在11-30%之间,含C量在之间的合金白口铸铁。
