The topic of my thesis is 《Angela carter to mythology research - the female archetype in “new eve passion”, for example》. I choose this as my topic due to the following reasons.
Angela Carter (1940-1992) is an outstanding feminist writer whose influence on Britishwomen's writing was “pivotal in this opening and transformation” [“23]. The year 2014 represents the 22”^ anniversary of Angela Carter's death. In those twenty-two years, her works have been widely taught internationally and brought about much critical debate. In a survey conducted by Cristina Bacchilega and Danielle M. Roemer [2],Carter is one of the most commonly taught women writers on North American programs. She has endowed us with an amazingly large number of legacies in her comparatively limited life, setting foot in various fields such as novels,short stories,children stories, dramas, non-fictions and so on. The acute observations with great insights,as well as the devastating wit and poignant mockery in Carter's works have made her stand out as an iconic figure in English literature. Many scholars and critics have devoted themselves to the research on Angela Carter from many perspectives,including gothic, magic realism, feminism,post-modernism and so on. As a prolific writer who is always ready to blur the boundaries between different genres, Carter has left us a wonderful world to delve into.
With the emergence of western women's movement as well as the development of feminist criticism in the 1960s,the feminist approach has become a potent weapon for those who are concerned with the emancipation and legal rights of women. Carter condemns the oppression and exploitation of women in a patriarchal society. ”Mother“ in Beulah serves as a severe satire on those mother goddesses in mythology. Carter smashes the legend by revealing the surgically-made essence of mother and the patriarchal values lurking behind her alleged matriarchal kingdom, warning against the peril and impracticality of extremist her most convincing example goes to Eve, the most important female character in the Bible, Her transformative journey from a chauvinist to a real woman in the story illustrates that gender, rather than a hereditary feature, is the result of social influence and unremitting imitations. Carter concludes the story with proposing ”androgyny“ as a solution to the current problems,implying that mutual respect and understanding is the only way to achieve the harmony between the two genders.
Chapter five comes to a general conclusion, summarizing the limitations of the theses as well as some suggestions for further study.

进行论文答辩前要做好通知学生的准备工作，这可以让同学们事先有个好的准备。
各院系：
根据本学期教学工作以及本科毕业生有关工作的安排，全校本科毕业生的毕业论文答辩时间必须在6月10日前完成。具体事项通知如下：
一.毕业论文结题答辩申请
凡通过毕业论文中期检查的学生，务必在教务系统上提交结题答辩申请，上传毕业论文(保密项目除外)，校内毕业论文导师和院系审核，在校外做毕业论文的须通过院系审核。教务系统毕业论文结题答辩申请开放时间截止到5月30日。
二、答辩材料清单
填写、打印由导师签署意见的结题答辩申请表;
毕业论文纸质版;
实验型毕业论文的原始实验记录本。(*实验型毕业论文若无原始实验记录本的不予答辩)。凡在校外做毕业论文的学生如无法提交实验记录原件的，可提交复印件，但必须有导师签字对实验记录真实性和评价的`书面说明。如果有的单位连复印件都不给提供，则需提供说明材料导师签字，单位盖章后带回学校交院系教学办备查;
三、答辩组织分组
各院系应在答辩前一周对全体答辩学生进行分组，要特别关注本院到院外做毕业论文的学生，提醒学生及时网上申报、选择答辩单位。
四、答辩要求
各院系应按我校《本科生毕业论文(设计)管理条例》和《本科生毕业论文(设计)管理补充要求》的有关规定负责组织完成答辩工作。各答辩组要由不少于3位中级职称以上相关专业教师，答辩组组长为副高以上职称的教师组成。学生成绩的优秀率不超过答辩学生人数的40%。各单位按做毕业论文学生数的5% 推荐校级优秀毕业论文。
各院系答辩结束后立即将院系推荐的校优名单在系统上确认提交，学校将对推荐校优的毕业论文进行查重，凡查重率超过20%的将取消校优评选资格。
五、毕业论文格式、封面要求、装订及材料存档
学生应严格按照《关于本科毕业论文(设计)格式和统一封面的通知》执行。论文必须用A4纸打印(或复印)、统一封面颜色装订成册。装订数量由院系确定，要求院系必须保存一册(务必做到，下半年将接受教育部本科教学评估)。
每个学生的纸质材料包括结题答辩申请表、原始实验记录本和毕业论文纸质版。推荐为校优的学生毕业论文提交学校的材料必须完整无误以便上报学校档案馆存档。
2017届毕业生毕业在即，根据学校教学工作安排，经学校研究决定，现对2017届毕业生毕业前夕总补考及毕业论文答辩有关事项通知如下：

三、加强毕业论文(设计)答辩管理
本科毕业论文(设计)是本科教学计划中的重要实践教学环节，是本科学生毕业和授予学士学位的必要条件。加强本科毕业论文(设计)工作，对于深化教学改革，全面推进素质教育，提高人才质量具有十分重要的意义和作用。
目前有些学院已经做了答辩或预答辩，在我们检查的过程中，发现了一些问题，为了确保质量，请各学院做好以下毕业论文(设计)的管理工作：
1.答辩环节：学生毕业论文(设计)答辩工作由各学院毕业论文(设计)工作领导小组负责组织实施，于5月15日-19日做好毕业论文答辩工作，按专业成立若干毕业论文(设计)答辩小组，一般由3-5名教师组成，其中至少要有一名教授或副教授参加，并主持答辩小组的工作。答辩秘书负责记录学生的答辩过程，答辩会记要内容要详细具体，要将问题和回答详细记录下来，所有参与人签名必须是亲笔签名。“答辩小组意见”一栏，必须给出具体的意见和评定成绩等级，而不能只写“通过”，且负责人必须亲笔签名。
2.文字重复率：各学院对2017届本科毕业生的论文(设计)应用“万方数据论文相似性检测系统”进行检测，系统检测结果认定毕业论文(设计)文字复制比≥30%不得进行答辩。答辩结束后，教务处将按10%的比例随机抽取毕业论文(设计)再次进行查重，如发现还有毕业论文(设计)文字复制比≥30%以上的院，将影响年终教学管理考核。
3.质量：学生答辩结束后，答辩小组要对指导教师意见及建议成绩、评阅教师意见及建议成绩、论文水平和质量、学生答辩情况等进行充分讨论，作出实事求是的评价，按照毕业论文(设计)评分标准评定成绩。所有成绩评定不能打印或盖章，一律要手写。
4.格式：论文(设计)的字数、格式、文字表述、标点符号、图表设计、数据处理、照片张贴、标本配述、中外文摘要、参考资料的附录和注释等，应符合《湖南科技学院本科生毕业论文(设计)撰写规范》的相关规定。必须将所有的原始材料装订成册，具体顺序为论文封面、任务书、开题报告书、中期检查、评审表、答辩记录表、论文正文。必须统一用A4纸、左侧装订，不能用活页夹。对于格式不符合要求的一律不得通过答辩。
5.总结工作：毕业论文(设计)工作结束后，各学院、各专业要认真总结，就本单位毕业论文(设计)工作的组织管理、选题指导、能力水平、论文质量、成绩评定、写作规范、论文答辩等几个方面写出总结材料，并在5月27日前进教务系统录入论文(设计)成绩。各学院在6月1日至6月2日将毕业论文材料和放入档案的材料(湖南科技学院本科毕业论文(设计)评审表和答辩记录表)盖好公章后(盖学校的公章时间为5月22号-26号)，一并交教务处实践管理科。

Angela Carter (1940-1992) is an outstanding feminist writer whose influence on Britishwomen's writing was “pivotal in this opening and transformation” [“23]. The year 2014 represents the 22”^ anniversary of Angela Carter's death. In those twenty-two years, her works have been widely taught internationally and brought about much critical debate. In a survey conducted by Cristina Bacchilega and Danielle M. Roemer [2],Carter is one of the most commonly taught women writers on North American programs. She has endowed us with an amazingly large number of legacies in her comparatively limited life, setting foot in various fields such as novels,short stories,children stories, dramas, non-fictions and so on. The acute observations with great insights,as well as the devastating wit and poignant mockery in Carter's works have made her stand out as an iconic figure in English literature. My topic is On the tragedy figures at historical turning points(Comparison of KongYiji and Rip Van Winkle).
The whole thesis consists of 6 parts. The first part will give a brief introduction of the negative, evasive and conservative attitudes of Kong and Rip as well as the topic’s significance in the real society. And the second part is going to analyze the figures’ background to show the historical necessity of the tragedies. In the third part, the tragic heroes’ failing in the character according to their living environment will be further discussed and the fourth part is to talk about their different tendency of dispositions and behaviors in the society. Then the author will dig into the root causes of the tragedies in the fifth part, and sum up the whole paper to reveal the ideological weak points of the two countries separately in the last part.

The year 2014 represents the 22”^ anniversary of Angela Carter's death. In those twenty-two years, her works have been widely taught internationally and brought about much critical debate. In a survey conducted by Cristina Bacchilega and Danielle M. Roemer [2],Carter is one of the most commonly taught women writers on North American programs. She has endowed us with an amazingly large number of legacies in her comparatively limited life, setting foot in various fields such as novels,short stories,children stories, dramas, non-fictions and so on. The acute observations with great insights,as well as the devastating wit and poignant mockery in Carter's works have made her stand out as an iconic figure in English literature. Carter, with her versatile and avant-garde reputation, is best known as a feminist writer. The Passion of New Eve, as one of Carter's most representative works, is of great value in the research of her feminist thoughts and , is my paper outline. Firstly, I am very interested in the study of ambiguity. Ambiguity is a common phenomenon in all natural languages. As is known to all, in our daily conversations, ambiguity is often employed to achieve the effect of humor, thus creating a relaxing atmosphere and letting people feel at ease. Some jokes caused by ambiguity is very interesting.
Secondly, I have read several articles about ambiguity written by linguistics and scholars. I found my knowledge of ambiguity is very limited, superficial and nonsystematic. What I knew is just the tip of the iceberg. So I plan to learn more about ambiguity by this research.
Thirdly, I found many scholars have carried out numerous studies of ambiguity, but a majority of these studies are focused on single language separately. Articles about comparison between English ambiguity and Chinese ambiguity are not sufficient. So it is necessary to make further study.
For the above facts, I select this title.
Next, I will present the outline of my thesis. It consists of 7 parts.
The first part gives a brief introduction to the ambiguity and structure of the thesis.
The second part is literature review, briefly introducing the development of study of ambiguity and some scholars’s main views.
The third to fifth parts focus on three types of ambiguity in English and Chinese: phonological ambiguity, lexical ambiguity, syntactic ambiguity. In every broad type, I respectively list some detailed branches and cite some vivid English and Chinese examples to explain these ambiguity phenomena. But I put more focus on the third part and point out two differences of ambiguity between English ambiguity and Chinese ambiguity.
The part six will point out positive results by using ambiguity deliberately in daily conversations, advertisements and literary works.
The last part is the conclusion.
I hope by this contrastive research, we will have a better understanding of ambiguity in English and Chinese and apply it to our life and study.

3、提问与答辩：答辩教师的提问安排在答辩人自述之后，是答辩中相对灵活的环节，有问有答，是一个相互交流的过程。一般为3个问题，采用由浅入深的顺序提问，采取答辩人当场作答的方式。
4、 总结 ：上述程序一一完毕，代表答辩也即将结束。答辩人最后纵观答辩全过程，做总结陈述，包括两方面的总结：毕业设计和论文写作的体会;参加答辩的收获。答辩教师也会对答辩人的表现做出点评：成绩、不足、建议。

教学论文答辩
最重要的技巧就是一定要牢牢的掌握自己论文的整个框架以及牵扯到的相关的知识，在整个答辩的过程中，对于框架的掌握是第一位的，因为只有掌握了整体的框架，你才能够知道这个论文到底是从哪里入手进行分析，动用了哪几个方面的知识，最终又是从哪个方面来进行总结的，也就是说只有这样才能够最终的把握好整篇论文的写法。
一、切忌敷衍塞责，应该认真准备
【案例一】一些教师对撰写论文比较重视，但对论文答辩不够重视，马虎从事。不同的论文答辩，会有不同的要求，有的要求脱稿，有的要求制作课件进行介绍，有的可以边看论文边讲。有一次，我在当评委时，一位教师不知怎的，把论文题目《情境教学法在高中思想政治课堂中的运用》说成了《高中思想政治课情境教学法的运用》。有的要求制成课件，个别教师连课件都没做，拿着纸在讲。
凡事预则立，不立则废。参加论文答辩的教师不能掉以轻心，必须认真对待，做好准备，对论文内容要深刻理解和全面熟悉。论文答辩的目的是为了进一步审查作者是否自己独立完成论文，有无抄袭;进一步考查和验证作者对所写论文论题的认识程度和当场论证的能力;进一步考察作者对所涉及的专业知识掌握的深度和广度等情况;针对论文中存在的一些问题，评委给出一些可行性的建议，进而可以提升教师科研的水平和论文的质量。教师要准备摘要、讲稿、答题及技术等。对于字数较长的论文，要准备写一个较详细的摘要和提纲，把字数浓缩到3000字以内，写出论文的写作动机、主要观点、材料、方法、结论等。考虑一些可能被问到的问题：如，你为什么要选择这个题目，该选题有哪些理论意义和现实意义?论文的基本思想和重要观点是什么，你是从哪些方面进行论证的?在写作中你参考了哪些文献?你的论文有什么创新和特色，存在哪些问题等等。
二、切忌照本宣读，应该有的放矢
【案例二】有一次，在某市教学大比武论文答辩会上，一位教师在介绍《论高中爱国主义教育的必要性及对策》时，从头到尾读了一遍。由于这位教师读得比较流利，语速较快，能在10分钟内把这篇论文读完。接着，评委问了两个问题：“文章中涉及的高中爱国主义教育现状和对策有没有必然的联系?高中生和初中生的爱国主义教育有什么不同?”
论文答辩的第一部分是介绍自己的论文，而不是读论文。这位参赛选手就犯了照本宣读的大忌。介绍的内容包括写作背景和意义、文章的观点、结构、论证过程、论据材料、结论，要做到概括简要，言简意赅。
三、切忌平平淡淡，应该重点突出
【案例三】在一次论文答辩会上，一位教师在介绍《浅析如何提高理科班思想政治教学的有效性》时，分三个方面进行介绍：1. 论文写作的原因。2. 论文的结构有五点：教师自身要重视教学，提升综合素质;引导理科生树立正确的学科观;尊重理科生的个性，建立良好的朋友关系;创新教学方法，激发理科生学习兴趣;减轻理科生作业负担。3. 取得的成效。然后，评委问了两个问题：文章内在的'逻辑关系，你是如何处理的?文章中提到的五个方面做法是否适合文科思想班政治教学?
另一位教师在介绍论文《施“寓盐于汤”之策，达高效课堂之果》时，不仅介绍了这篇论文写作的背景，结合自身教学实践谈了对预设的“角度”与生成的“程度”、思维的“深度”与提问的“热度”的看法，而且还介绍了自己写这篇论文的心得体会。然后回答评委的提问：课堂预设要达到哪些目标?
在这两位教师的论文介绍中，第一位教师的介绍显得平淡，第二位教师的介绍有特色。俗话说：“削繁去冗留清被，画到无时是熟时”，要尽量做到词约旨丰，一语中的。要突出重点，把自己在论文中的新观点或新的突破、最具特色和有亮点的部分，写作时最大收获、最深体会表述出来。
四、切忌答非所问，应该切中要害
【案例四】一位教师在介绍论文《思想政治课堂教学中的“生动”和“主动”》时阐明了自己的观点：“生动”使思想政治课堂教学越来越吸引人，一扫原先给人一种“枯燥乏味”的印象;但似乎又陷入另一种“枯燥乏味”，给人一种毫无生命力的形式主义之嫌。无视“主动”的“生动”是无效的。在课堂教学实践中，他努力尝试着实现“生动”和“主动”的统一。在10分钟内的介绍中，他能够脱稿讲清文章的结构、思路及主要观点，应该是不错的。接着，评委问道：“生动”和“主动”如何界定?教师答道：“主动”是突出学生情况。后面答不下去了。评委追问：“生动”难道不突出学生情况吗?参辩老师哑然无语。
在这个案例中，由于参辩教师事先在写作时没有真正搞清“生动”和“主动”的区别，或者没有听清楚，在回答评委的问题时，有点离题。主动是相对于被动而言，是指不待外力推动而行动。生动是指具有活力而且感动人的。
在评委提问时，参辩教师要认真聆听，并做好记录，仔细推敲评委所提问题的实质和要害。如果对所提问题没有搞清楚，可以请提问老师再重复一遍。如果对所提问题的有些概念不清，可以请教提问老师，或者把自己对问题的理解说出来，征求提问老师的意见，弄清问题的意思后，再作回答。只有这样，才能答到要害上，避免答非所问。
五、切忌强词夺理，应该实事求是
【案例五】一位教师在介绍论文《反思性学习在高考思想政治复习中的运用策略》后，评委针对参考文献提出如下的问题：文章中四方面的参考文献(1.《新课程与学习方式的变革》;2. 罗洪儿，《对教学反思问题的探讨》2006;3. 熊川武，《反思性教学》2004.华东师范大学出版社;4.网络资源《如何上好复习课》、《建构主义理论学习摘记》)对写作有何作用?这位老师答道：“扩大知识面，提供一个理论的支撑。”评委又问道：“你能否结合《新课程与学习方式的变革》这本书，谈谈如何提供理论的支撑?”“在新课程下，三大学习方式自主、合作、探究发生了变化。”“该书的作者是谁?写于何时?”“作者是一位专家，大概写于2003年吧!”“你认为你文章中的这些参考文献的写法规范吗?”“当然规范，网上也是这样写的，我看人家论文的参考文献也是这样写的。”
论文答辩有“问”有“答”，还可以有“辩”。提问老师所提的问题中，有的是基础知识性的问题，有的是学术探讨性问题。对于后一类问题，是非正误尚未定论，与所提问老师的观点相左时，可以据理力争。但对于前一类问题，是要参辩者作出正确全面的回答，不具有商榷性。这位参辩老师对参考文献格式的写法这一基础性问题的回答有点强词夺理。因为提问老师前面所提到的“《新课程与学习方式的变革》这本书的作者是谁?写于何时?”参辩老师答不出来，至少说明参考文献格式写法有问题。所以，对于自己没有搞清楚的问题，应该实事求是的回答，表示今后好好去研究，切不可狡辩。
六、切忌自卑傲慢，应该文明礼貌
【案例六】在当评委的这几年里，我感觉大部分教师在参加论文答辩时，均注重自己的仪态与风度。但有的教师从未经历过这种场面，感到胆怯，缺乏自信心。有的老师认为自己的论文曾在省级获奖或在刊物上发表，当自己的观点与提问老师观点相左时，态度有点傲慢自负，有理不饶人。这两种情况都会影响答辩的成绩。

First of all, I really want to be a teacher, so during the four years, I have read many books about how to become a good teacher. Secondly, when I was a freshman in the summer of 2008, I was chosen as a teaching assistant of the summer camp which was organized by the New Oriental English School in Shijiazhuang.
