美国心脏协会在旗下期刊《Circulation》发表报告指出，针对三酸甘油脂过高（200-499 mg/dL）的患者，单独服用药用等级Omega-3脂肪酸（每日4g），可以降低20-30%血脂。

美国心脏协会认证，Omega-3脂肪酸有助降血脂！美国心脏协会在旗下期刊《Circulation》发表报告指出，针对三酸甘油脂过高（200-499 mg/dL）的患者，单独服用药用等级Omega-3脂肪酸（每日4g），可以降低20-30%血脂。研究作者Ann Skulas-Ray博士强调，血脂过高的患者不要尝试食品级的Omega-3脂肪酸，来代替降血脂药物。

医药级Omega-3 助降血脂可与降血脂药搭配

根据《科学日报》报导，美国心脏协会回顾了17项随机对照试验，研究目前两种omega-3脂肪酸处方，第一种结合了EPA（eicosapentaenoic acid）和DHA（docosahexaenoic acid）两种类型的脂肪酸，另一种仅含EPA。由于缺两药物的比较，因此两者都可适用。

研究发现，药物级Omega-3脂肪酸有助于降低血液三酸甘油脂，且可与降血脂药物史他汀类（Statins）药物合并使用，坏胆固醇LDL-C也不会增加。高三酸甘油脂的患者用药物级Omega-3脂肪酸后，可减少25%心血管疾病风险。

然而，若三酸甘油脂超过500 mg / dL，服用药用级Omega-3脂肪酸，会使坏胆固醇LDL-C上升。

运动饮食降血脂每周可以吃两次鱼

《CNN》报导，三酸甘油脂是在血液中的油脂，若血液三酸甘油脂的浓度高于200 mg / dL，恐增加血管粥样硬化的风险，造成血管变窄，较容易罹患心血管疾病，如中风、心脏病等。此外，若血液三酸甘油脂浓度超过500 mg / dL，更可能造成胰脏炎。

现今越来越多人血脂过高，与肥胖率上升有关。被诊断三酸甘油脂过高，医师通常建议改变生活习惯，运动、减肥，避免精制碳水化合物、酒精，从植物摄取油脂代替饱和脂肪，可以有效降低血脂。另外，治疗第二型糖尿病、甲状腺素低下和肥胖，都可以控制好血脂。

美国心脏协会也建议，鱼类是Omega-3脂肪酸良好来源，每周至少吃两次鱼，如鲑鱼、鲭鱼、鲱鱼和长鳍金枪鱼。

Omega-3 脂肪酸保健品别乱吃不可替代药品

不过，Ann Skulas-Ray博士强调，血脂过高的患者不要尝试食品级的Omega-3脂肪酸，来代替降血脂药物。

加州大学洛杉矶分校医学院心脏科教授Karol Watson认可这份报告的重要性，「饮食和运动是控制血脂最好的方式，但有些人需要额外的帮助。」不过由于缺乏其他数据，他不确定Omega-3脂肪酸是否适用治疗其他类型的心血管疾病。
